9 Delicious Recipes From Garden Fresh Fruits & Veggies

Good morning! I hope y’all are having a great week. It’s rained like cats and dogs here the past few days and I think there’s more to come. It’s kind of nice not to have to haul water around to make sure everything doesn’t die. 🙂 I absolutely LOVE this time of year with all the garden fresh  vegetables and orchard fresh fruits. Our tomato plants haven’t done too much yet this year, but I have harvested a few bell & jalapeno peppers.

I love cooking with fresh ingredients either from the garden or from the farmer’s market. Enjoying delicious food from home grown produce is one of THE BEST perks of Summer. Right?!

  1. I pinned your post because I host a group of 12 in October. Wouldn’t the roasted sweet potatoes be a tasty nod to fall ( although it’ hot here at that time or it can be cold!! One never knows!!). I also thought if I could get to a farmers market I’d like to do the tomatoes too! Have that oven hot for two things!! Then wouldn’t it be fun to have the crunchy cukes as a side with a salad? Ill do shredded chicken in the crockpot and have brown rice and salsa. Hmmmm….
I might have to ask my hubby to make his guacamole. Just Haas (black skinned) acacado mashed with garlic powder, a dash of garlic salt and a giant serving spoon of non-fat Greek yogurt. Taste and adjust seasonings. We usually make in batches of four to six avacados at a time for a group! Serve with tortilla chips but I really like it with celery–or on my bread or salad 😉 thanks again!!!

  2. This is a wonderful collection of recipes. I am going to try Roasted Sweet Potatoes because right now I only have access to potatoes.

  3. Excellent recipe, I have now updated my garden and even allocated a place for growing vegetables. I’m already waiting for the new vegetables to ripen to repeat your salad. In fact it is a fascinating process and it is very nice to know that you are growing the food you eat. The site helps me in many ways https://www.gardenology.eu/ where I buy everything I need for my garden
