Everyone Needs A Happy Place

Well, hello there! 🙂 Some of you were probably wondering if I fell off the face of the earth and others probably didn’t even realize I hadn’t blogged in almost two weeks. The blog hasn’t been that quiet in a very long time. I just needed some quiet.

I was in Salt Lake City for the Young Living convention and oh, my word, it was AMAZING, mind blowing and fabulous. I got back from convention and I really just wanted to spend time with my boys. The weather was gorgeous last week {No humidity in July in the South? Um, yes please!}.

And I’ve fallen in love with my new happy place. I’m not kidding. My hammock is my new BFF.

I’ve always wanted a hammock since I was a little girl and now I have my wish. It is hanging between two trees in our back yard.

I spend as much time in the hammock as possible. I can read, nap, pray, snuggle with my boys {and my sweet husband!}, watch them as they play and I can close my eyes and just be. The birds singing, crickets chirping, dogs barking and occasional car going past on the road is like soothing music to my heart.

Sometimes you just need the quiet in a happy place.

I don’t have to dress up or put make up on to go to my happy place.

I can just be.

It is wonderful.

I have had a lot of busy-ness this year traveling {there’s more to come}, but spending time outside {both alone with God and with those I love} just renews my soul.

I want you to know that I’m not disappearing. I just needed some down time. 🙂

I have projects and other fun stuff coming down the pike…and Fall….y’all.

Do you even realize how close we are to my favorite seasons of the year??! Ahhh!

So, if you’re wondering where I am or what I’m up to, it’s very likely that I might be swinging in my hammock – my happy place.
