Good morning! We are loving all the fresh produce this time of year. The garden is growing like crazy. We have tomatoes, peppers, herbs, corn, okra, squash, zucchini and sunflowers flourishing, but they aren't all producing quite yet. So far this year we are actually staying on top of the weeding. Old Fashioned Pistachio Salad {Watergate Salad}
Happy Friday, y'all! I'm so excited to share this very old recipe today. It has been a favorite of my dad's for many, many years. We make it for special occasions and it is always devoured. Why this recipe is called "Watergate Salad" I have no idea. Maybe President Nixon liked pistachios? Ha! I'm clueless. [pinit count="horizontal"] I didn't say it's an incredibly healthy recipe. I made my delicious Chicken Enchilada Casserole as well as a Salted Caramel Pear Crisp. Both were a hit. You will want to make ...
Strawberry Lime Popsicle Recipe
We are relishing the Summer with park days, the library reading program, evening walks, decent temperatures and yummy popsicle treats. Normally it's 100+ degrees by now, but shockingly we're enjoying 80 degree weather. Even though we're not dying from the heat, Ridley loves popsicles and he frequently {very frequently} reminds me when I need to make more. I love making up popsicle recipes with natural sweeteners, fresh or frozen fruit, yogurt ...
20 4th of July Dessert Recipes
Happy Wednesday! With the 4th of July right around the corner, I figured it was time to start talking 4th of July Dessert Recipes. We always get together with family {as well as with our church} for a picnic, so patriotic desserts are a must. We always have watermelon {see below for some cute ideas for the kids!} and usually a cobbler. There's always a 4th of July dessert with strawberries and blueberries too. I love using the natural colors of ...
