Dairy-Free Frozen Chocolate Treat
Hey y’all! I’m just popping on to share a quick and easy dairy-free dessert that I’ve been enjoying every so often during the past few weeks. Since doing Whole30, I’m trying to still stay away from most grains, sugars, beans etc, so when I crave a little “sweetness”, this dairy-free dessert hits the spot.
This recipe is a yummy combination of ingredients you likely already have on hand. If you regularly eat sweets, this frozen treat isn’t going to be your favorite. But for people who eat primarily paleo, the banana sweetness is quite satisfying. 😉 YUM!
Dairy-Free Chocolate Frozen Dessert
- 1 banana
- 1/2 cup nuts {You can also do 1/4 of one and 1/4 of another. I prefer almonds, walnuts or pecans.}
- 1 1/2 Tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
Place nuts in a food processor and chop until smooth. Add banana and cocoa powder and blend thoroughly. Place this mixture in a bowl and put it in the freezer until chilled and frosty.
Enjoy!
Easy. Simple. Healthy. Satisfying.
Good stuff.
Do you have a favorite grain-free, dairy-free, sugar-free dessert?
I’d love to hear your suggestions! 🙂

I have a yummy, nondairy recipe that I use to make “ice cream” with frozen bananas.
Yours looks yummy too!
My kids love banana “ice cream”…go ahead and freeze your bananas, then blend with your choice of add-ins for an instant treat! I like the idea of blending nuts in with it.

This looks delicious! I think dairy totally aggravates my stomach. I should try making some dairy free treats 🙂

This is VERY good with cashews!
This is yummy with an avocado too.
I make this with peanut butter instead of whole nuts or just leave them out altogether. We do eat sweets, but definitely think this is sweet enough to qualify as a great dessert too. Yum!
