Happy Friday! I hope y'all have had a good week. We have had a good one around these parts. I worked like a crazy person on Wednesday getting my house cleaned to have my sister and her sweet kids, my mother-in-law and my mom and brother over for a little Valentine's Day party on Thursday. It's SO good to have a much cleaner and organized house! If you are my friend on Facebook or Instagram then you've probably already seen these photos, but I ...
Living Life
The Tale of the Chicken Snake
Oh y'all. This chapter in the chronicle of Myra's life cannot be missed, so I'm writing down for posterity. And for laughs. Really. If you are my friend on Facebook you might have already seen a bit of the snake saga, so forgive me for repeating myself. There are just so many funny details that I want to remember forever. Yesterday afternoon, I walked to the back door to go out to the laundry room. Our house is 126 years old and has many ...
Happy Birthday, America!
I hope you each have a wonderful day celebrating America. Whether you spend your day working, on vacation, hanging out with family or friends or in quiet solitude, I trust that you will take a moment to praise God for America. Today, we're spending time with my family and then our annual church picnic is tonight...complete with a raw egg toss. HA! My Country, 'Tis of Thee My country, 'tis of Thee, Sweet Land of Liberty Of thee I ...
The County Fair
A couple of weeks ago, my family and I went to the county fair. It was so much fun, but when the sun went down, it got chilly! The most fun was watching my 20 year old brother experience the fair for the first time...poor, deprived child, he was. Ha! At this point, I was cold, tired and ready to go home. Ridley, on the other hand, was ready to party...obviously! Notice anything "wrong" in this photo? Ernie and Ridley enjoyed a funnel ...
All Except The Santa Maria
Last week, we went back in time on a little field trip to see the Nina and Pinta. My mom organized a group and we had a great time...except for the fact that we all about died from a heat stroke. It was SO hot...like 98 degrees HOT. The Pinta My sweet Ridley Apparently, I was in love with the ropes. Ha! Have you ever gotten to see the Nina and Pinta on their tour? Happy Wednesday! The Last Hoorah of Summer
At least that's what I'm telling myself. The temps are trying to fool me into thinking that it's still summer here in Alabama. But I just checked the calendar and it's almost (almost) October! Anytime Jack Frost decides to arrive will be fine by me. Until then we will relish the last warm air moments... Adorableness. My sweet, darlin' little man at the splash pad! He loved it! Is it cooling down in your neck of the woods? Linked ...
