Our Sweet Valentine’s Day Party

Happy Friday! I hope y’all have had a good week. We have had a good one around these parts. I worked like a crazy person on Wednesday getting my house cleaned to have my sister and her sweet kids, my mother-in-law and my mom and brother over for a little Valentine’s Day party on Thursday.  It’s SO good to have a much cleaner and organized house!

If you are my friend on Facebook or Instagram then you’ve probably already seen these photos, but I decided to share them here for posterity’s sake. Ha!

 My sweet little men and me. They are my most precious treasures.

On a whim, I decided to pull out everything pink that I could think of to decorate. I had two pink feather boas from years past, so I hung them in the doorways of the dining room. I think my husband walked in the door and said something about an “Elvis explosion.” {snicker}

Oh, don’t you love my mis-matched dining chairs? Ahem. I’m in the market for a more matching collection. 😉

I made Ridley a special heart-shaped grilled cheese sandwich for lunch. 🙂

Lily, Ridley and Levi made lift-a-flap Valentine’s cards for their daddies. It was funny to listen to what they wanted the cards to say.

The kids had a great time playing together. And I have to say that it was really good to have family over at our house. 🙂

When Ernie got home from work, he sent me on a treasure hunt all over the house to find my Valentine’s Day gift in the back of his car. I found this…roses and a mini iPad! I was so surprised…and excited!

What did you do for Valentine’s Day? Parties? Out to eat? Lots of chocolate?

Have a lovely weekend, my friends!

xoxo
