How to Use Essential Oils in the Summer
We are loving the long, hot Alabama days. I love this season! Y’all know I adore my essential oils. They are a must-have for an enjoyable, delicious and relaxing summer. Let me show you how!
1. Enjoy the outdoors annoyance-free!
This amazing oil blend is the bomb diggity. It includes Citronella, Lemongrass, Rosemary, Myrtle, and Tea Tree essential oils!! I won’t be without it during the summertime…or ever. We also use Purification to soothe and cleanse the skin…and we have A LOT of opportunities to “soothe” and “cleanse” around here.
2. Diffuse Like A Crazy Person!
I created these recipes and they are totally fabulous!! Perfect for those “Calgon, take me away!” moments! 😉
3. Use essential oils in your recipes!! Yum!
This Summer salad dressing is absolutely amazing! It’s super easy and quick to make!
4. Seasons changing? No big deal!
This fabulous trio {Lemon, Lavender & Peppermint} plus Copaiba is wonderfully helpful when the seasons are changing.
5. Have these essential oils on hand always in Summer!
Outdoors: Citronella, Purification, Peppermint, Cedarwood
Skin: Geranium, Carrot Seed, Lavender and Lavaderm
Emotions: Grounding, Stress Away (holla, mama!), Believe, Peace & Calming II
6. Soothe your tired feet, mama!
I know I’m not the only one who could use a good foot soak after a crazy summer day. This foot soak is wonderfully cooling and leaves you feeling refreshed!
7. Are you burning up in the heat? Seriously. It’s a furnace outside some days.
Use this cool misting spray to keep yourself and your children cooled off! You can substitute witch hazel for neutral spirits. 🙂 Ahhhh!
8. Entertain the kids with this calming play dough!
BOOM. That’s all I’m saying. The recipe is here. You can use Lavender or Grounding as a substitute for Valor! LOVE it!
9. Get mama out of a funk with this amazing secret!
Are you feeling blah? Grumpy? Out of routine? Try Frankincense to uplift your spirits! Read more here.
10. And it’s important to know about a few oils and photosensitivity. This means that if you apply them topically and then you go sit out in the sun with that skin exposed, your skin could burn. The chart below helps explain this more fully!

Oils are of great importance for our health. Especially CBD. Here it is very important to choose a really high-quality manufacturer, so that it does not harm your health. I advise you to study CBD reviews in more detail to understand what you should pay attention to
Hello! Thank you for this article. This is perfect and such great information!!! I usually always dilute any oil I use. When taken internally I use a carrier oil in the capsule or if I add a drop to a cup of tea I add just a small pinch of salt to help disburse the EO. And I would also say not to use an essential oil every day for months and months, it’s good to give your body a break! But I want to know the opinion of a professional like you. We board dogs in our home. Would it be safe to diffuse essential oils in our home? Just no one answered this question
