Chocolate Chip Bars {Cookie Cake}
I hope y’all are having a marvelous week. A couple of weeks ago, I made Chocolate Chip Bars for my Mom’s birthday. We’ve loved celebrating birthdays with cookie cakes for many years. I used my Granny’s amazing Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe, and modified it just a bit for this cookie cake. These Chocolate Chip Bars got rave reviews from my family. And y’all? They are so quick and easy to make.
Drool.
Chocolate Chip Bars {Cookie Cake}
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp Real Salt {affiliate}
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 (10 oz) pkg semi-sweet chocolate chips {These are our favorite! affiliate}
In a medium bowl, combine the flour, salt and baking soda with a whisk. Set aside. In a large bowl, cream sugars and butter until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla; beat well. Gradually mix in flour mixture on low speed. Stir in chocolate chips.
Drop cookie dough onto a greased cookie sheet or bar pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes or until edges are golden brown. Cool on a wire rack.
Cut into bars and serve. Yum!
Do you love chocolate chip bars? What’s your favorite cookie?
