The Evolution of Wisk: Stain Spectrum Technology
Isn’t it hilarious that I’m writing about Wisk? I mean, seriously, if you’ve been reading my blog for any length of time, you know that laundry is the bane of my existence. I complain write about it at least every few weeks.
I need a real laundry elf, along with a dishes elf, dusting elf and cleaning toilets elf. But….since that’s not going to happen, I’m just going to sing the praises of the Wisk evolution. {cue angels singing}
One of my least favorite parts of laundry (besides the folding part) is trying to remove stains. From poop stains, to grass stains and coffee stains (thank you hubby) to chocolate milk stains, my life is full of stain removing. More often than not, I have to soak, treat, wash, treat and wash again. Stains are pesky, stubborn things.
I can only imagine the difficulty that my mom must have had when my siblings and I were little. I grew up on a farm. Although I loved girly things and dreamed of my wedding day, I played with the boys. Enough said. My mom is a superb laundress…she’s actually my laundry idol. Now if I could just figure out how to inject some of that wonderful laundress talent into my veins.
Wisk was the first liquid laundry detergent to hit the shelves in 1956. They created the iconic “ring around the collar” campaign that you can see in this commercial from the 50s.
As laundry needs and stains change, Wisk is also changing. They are launching an upgraded formula featuring Stain Spectrum™ Technology.
There are hundreds of different stains but most stains fall into three major groups:
- Carbohydrates such as milk chocolate
- Proteins such as grass
- Oils such as peanut butter
The other groups of stains include:
- Bio such as blood
- Bleachable such as coffee
- Synthetic such as ink
- Particulate such as dirt
Wisk’s enzymes and cleaning agents target the full range of stains on a molecular level for a powerful clean.
Coming August 2010, the new Wisk with Stain Spectrum ™Technology will be available at major retailers for $5.99/50 oz. bottle! I’m just itching to get my hands on a bottle. Let’s storm the stores, shall we? 🙂
