Top Posts of 2011

Hey, hey!  I have immensely enjoyed a taking several days off from blogging to spend time with family during Christmas. I didn’t even open my laptop one day…crazy!

Before we jump into 2012, I thought it would be fun to look back at a few “top” posts from 2011! 🙂

This was one of my favorite projects – my Vintage Lap Tray Makeover. The trays were hideous, rusting with chippy paint, but I snatched them up for next to nothing at a yard sale. With spray paint, scrapbook paper and various crafting supplies I was able to give the trays a new life!

Oh y’all, this Mini Meatloaf Recipe is to die for. They are quick and easy to make and so delish.  I’m not a meatloaf lover, but these have stolen my heart. Kids love them too!

I had never worked with resin before creating these DIY Resin Candle Holders, but I’m thrilled with how they turned out.  Using old hymnal pages and plant saucers, I made candle holders that also double as beverage coasters.

During the summer, I re-lived a childhood memory of making fried pies with my Memaw when I made Easy Fried {Apple} Pies. I can hardly wait to make this recipe again.  Yummo!

My Spring Banner Craft was an incredibly fun project. It was my first “fan-style” banner and I love how much visual interest the fans give.

Just in case you’re not all sugared-out like me, my No Bake Peanut Butter Cookies are melt-in-your-mouth delicious!  My family has been enjoying these cookies for years and years.

Who doesn’t love a knock off?  I created a Ballard Designs Knock-Off Silhouette Hurricane Vase early this past year using my DIY Hurricane Vase Tutorial and frosted vinyl. I love, love, love this vase that has my sweet little man’s silhouette on it.

And that’s a wrap, y’all! 🙂  What is your favorite memory from 2011?

I’m linking up to Rhoda’s Top Projects party and Weekend Wrap Up Party!

  1. Myra, Merry Christmas! So glad you had a fun break. I love this post. It’s fun to take this look back and catch some of the posts I missed before I found your blog. I love the tray and candle holder crafts because I think even I could do them. And I’m marking them to try. Our family LOVES meat loaf and loves when I make mini meatloaves… I’ll definitely try yours. And I used to make fried pies with my Nini as a child ~ oh sweet memories. I’m SO sad because I had a homemade pie crust to use and just pitched it. Will definitely make these with my kids next time. SO many great posts in one! Love it.
