My Top Projects of 2010 {And…An Announcement!}

What a year this has been! I’ve enjoyed crafting and working on DIY projects to share with you all.  Your comments, support and encouragement keep me going here at My Blessed Life.  I’m looking forward to 2011 and all the fun {and projects} that it will bring!

My sweet friend Rhoda is having a Top Projects of 2010 party, so, of course, I had to join in! 🙂  Love parties!

  • Thrift Store Vanity Desk Makeover: The shape of this desk won my heart as soon as I saw it.  It didn’t look so good before, but I decided to go bold and I painted the desk apple green. It’s fabulous and works for different seasons and holidays.

  • Yard Sale Stool Makeover: I found a fabulous old stool at a nearby yard sale that I snagged for $5.00. The lady wouldn’t come down from her set price at all.  {rolls eyes}  But I’m thrilled with how it turned out.  And…it’s perfect in my foyer!

  • Thrift Store Mirror Makeover: This mirror came with the vanity desk that I redid. At first {like for a few months}, I wasn’t sure what I was going to do with it, but I got inspired to make it work in the foyer opposite the desk.  I couldn’t be happier with the result!

So pretty!

  • Hanging Egg Tree Craft: With Spring seeming to be right around the corner, I decided to share this project too. This craft is definitely out of the box, but I totally adore it!  I guess I just love hanging things from my chandelier!

These are my favorite projects from 2010.  You can check out more of my DIY projects here.

And….now, for an announcement.
I’m excited and scared out of my mind.  Squeeeeee!

I’m launching a new home decor blog on New Year’s Day!!! The Casabella Project is all about making homes beautiful one project at a time.  We are moving back to the house where we lived 3 years ago.  We’ve signed a rent-to-own contract with our former landlady!  So, we are currently updating our new-old 1950s home – the living room, kitchen and breakfast area to be exact.

I will be blogging at both My Blessed Life and The Casabella Project. My Blessed Life will continue with photos, home and family management, funny stories, Friday Fails, recipes and crafts.

The Casabella Project chronicles the remodeling and updating of our new-old home.  This is going to be an ongoing project for years. We have huge dreams for making this house perfect for us – for raising our family.  Besides remodeling, The Casabella Project will feature before and after projects, DIY tutorials, furniture makeovers etc.

Man, this makes me so giddy!  I told Kellie from Bag Full of Posies {a fabulous sponsor here at My Blessed Life} that it feels like I’m introducing a secret boyfriend to my parents or something. Scary and awkward and so much fun! {Not that I have a secret boyfriend, but you know what I’m trying to say, right?}

Follow The Casabella Project on Twitter and “Like” TCP on Facebook!

I’m so thankful for each of you who read my blog and I’m excited to take on 2011 together!

Did you create a favorite project in 2010? I’d love to hear about it!
