CrockPot Recipe Roundup!

/

There is simply nothing like dumping putting dinner in the crockpot in the morning, forgetting about it all day and then enjoying the ease and simplicity (and deliciousness) of a slow cooked meal when dinner time arrives.

My sweet friend Connie from Smockity Frocks is having a CrockPot Recipe carnival!  So, to make it easy for you, my wonderful readers, and new friendly peeps stopping by, I decided to combine all my slow cooker recipes in one post!  Awesome, right?

  1. Thanks for the all of the slow cooker recipes. I ADORE my slow cooker and use it at least once a week, if not twice a week. My motto is: if can’t be assembled during the kids’ naptime, then it’s not a recipe for me!
My family loves this easy, healthy turkey chili in the slow cooker. I serve it over whole wheat spaghetti noodles with sour cream and cheese for my little ones and they love it!

  2. I love using the Crockpot! It’s great for taking on vacation too. My favorite meal to cook in the crock is just a basic roast with veggies. So Easy! Just dump in a roast, toss on some seasoning(whatever you like), and thrown in some veggies(again, whatever you have on hand- I usually have carrots, potatoes, & onions).

  3. I would have to say a whole chicken in the crock-pot is my favorite !! It’s not only a meal for that night but the extras are enough for another meal another night 🙂

  4. Best crockpot recipe:

    ~3-4 chicken breasts
    ~1 can of corn
    ~1 can of black beans
    ~1 jar of salsa
    – 8 oz cream cheese

Put everything but the cream cheese in the crockpot and cook on low all day. 1/2 hour before serving, add cream cheese.
Serve with corn chips or over rice.

In my opinion, cream cheese makes everything better :]

  5. I have reconnected with my Crockpot in the past couple of months. My two favorite recipes right now are homemade yogurt (which you can use milk alternatives with) and Rotel Pork….mmmmm.

    Yogurt – http://crockpot365.blogspot.com/2008/10/you-can-make-yogurt-in-your-crockpot.html

    Rotel Pork –
    Two Cans Rotel Tomatoes
    Pork Loin
    1 TBS Cumin
    1 TBS Garlic Powder

Throw it all in and cook on low 8 – 10 hours. I serve it over brown rice with salad.

    1. @Shannon, Oh Shannon, this recipe sounds awesome! I love Pork Loin, but I’ve never gotten brave enough to make it myself. Definitely going to try this! Thanks!

      1. @Myra,

You must be one with the pork. I just make sure to trim off as much pudge as I can. I try to keep the calorie count to a minimum… Lord knows, I need to…lol. Have a blessed day !!!
