29 Outdoor Furniture Makeovers

Hey y’all! One of my favorite things about this time of year is spending time outside. The warmer temps and fresh air {minus the pollen} is inspiring and invigorating for me. Each year, I work to freshen up our outside spaces with new plants and mulch. And I try to figure out a way to spiffy up our outdoor furniture with a good cleaning and sometimes…spray paint.

I was really excited when Miriam asked me to curate an Outdoor Furniture Makeovers clipboard on Hometalk. Have you discovered Hometalk? It’s the best community with clever tips and tricks, secrets for gardening, makeovers and loads of diy projects. I was so inspired as I discovered all the outdoor furniture makeovers that have been shared there.

Here are some of my favorites from the clipboard collection…

I adore this bright and happy bench made from three chairs.

How fabulous is this desk turned Outdoor Potting Bench?!

I think this Headboard Turned Garden Bench is adorable.

Spray paint rocks this Outdoor Iron Couch makeover.

And here’s my Bamboo Porch Table Makeover! :)

  1. How fun is that site! Was it created by the same people as pinterest?

  2. I bought paint last month when it was on sale and had a rebate for several projects outside. I am working out of state until the end of the month. Hubby said he isn’t starting on anything until I get back. Knowing me, I will change my mind what I want done after surfing the net. LOL

  3. I love freshening my outdoor spaces, Myra–although I pretty much have to wait until May, because right now EVERYTHING is covered to the choking point with pollen!

You’ve inspired me–I submit a Hometalk post on my DIY ottomans. I’ve made one for my front porch and one for my screened porch, and I love them!

  6. swoon over it all, girl. just getting ready to tackle my front porch; ideas just in time. I bought yellow chevron for pillows and found some .50 coordinating fabric at Goodwill. I’m defintiely into paint. I’ve found the Rust-o-leum at AC moore with the primer is THE best so far. It goes so much further than the cheap cans and it’s got the best coverage. It’s 6.99 reg price w/coupon it’s a steal :)

  7. Awww….thanks for featuring my headboard garden bench! It is one of my favorite projects. This is great! ~Tammy

  8. The white bamboo table is kind of interesting. I don’t think i would have ever thought of painting bamboo for some reason.
