One of my favorite meals to cook for my family is breakfast. From delicious muffins, casseroles and granola, we love starting off the day with a yummy breakfast. Recently, I’ve been whipping up a delicious oatmeal recipe that copy cat’s Starbucks’ Perfect Oatmeal…sans preservatives and icky caramel color.
Y’all. This oatmeal is so, SO good. Ridley is almost four and he loves it!
Oatmeal Recipe {Starbucks Copy Cat}
- 2 cups prepared oatmeal {cooked according to package directions or see my directions below}
- 1-2 tablespoons softened butter
- 2 teaspoons raw sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, optional
- 3 tablespoons dried craisins/yellow raisins
- 3 tablespoons chopped pecans or walnuts
I use these oats. Boil 2 cups of water with a dash of salt. Add 1 cup oats, bring back to a boil. Reduce heat and cook for 10 minutes. Remove from heat and allow to sit for a few minutes.
Add butter, sugar and cinnamon, if desired. Stir well. Add dried fruit and nuts. Stir again and serve.
Enjoy!
{All of these add-in measurements are variable. Feel free to change them up to better fit your palate.}

This looks amazing! I just have such a hard time getting up and making breakfast for my family
I’m a SAHM with a 7 month old so maybe it’s so hard because I’d just be making breakfast for my husband and I. Which is an awful habit. How do you do it?
