10 Memorial Day Ideas {Food, Crafts, Decor}
Good morning, y’all! I hope you had a great weekend. Ours was full of errands, cooking and cleaning out. We’re having a yard sale this coming weekend, so the purge of the year is happenin’ over here! Ha!
With Memorial Day in just a week, it’s time to begin thinking red, white and blue and how we will remember the dear ones who have willingly given their lives for our freedom. We love celebrating holidays around here, so I thought you might enjoy some Memorial Day food, craft and decor inspiration too.
10 Memorial Day Ideas
I adore this flag yarn wreath from Naptime Crafting! I might just have to make something like this in time for the 4th of July.
I made this Easy Patriotic Trifle last year and it was a huge hit.
How stinkin’ cute is this pipe cleaner fireworks craft? This one is on my list to do with Ridley!
Y’all know me and I love banners, so when I saw this BBQ Utensil Banner, my heart nearly stopped. Isn’t it adorable and so very creative?
Few things are sweeter than little hands and feet. I love this handprint/footprint flag from Serendipity.
Make an easy “Freedom Banner” to celebrate both Memorial Day and the 4th of July!
If you’re having a party with kids over, hold a Flag Tag Relay. With American flags and buckets of sand, it’s easy on the budget and big on fun!
I love these Rubberband Wrapped Candles. Yes, rubberbands. So cool!
I love, love, love this Ruffled Flag Kids’ T-shirt Tutorial. The tutorial also has an unruffled version for the boys in your life. I would love to have time to make these for Ridley and my niece and nephews. SO cute!!
You can’t go wrong with a Delicious Strawberry Pie for your family. It’s an easy, colorful dessert and you might just be able to find fresh, local strawberries.

Thank you, Myra! I was just looking for some Memorial Day inspiration, so this is very timely. I appreciate your collecting all these ideas. But I keep wondering–how on earth can it already be time for Memorial Day? Wasn’t Easter just last week? My head is just spinning this spring–and now it’s almost summer!
