What’s not to love about crocheted hats, knitted dishcloths and blankets, customized buggy buddies (i.e. grocery cart covers), aprons and precious children’s monogrammed clothing?
Absolutely nothing! That’s why I love Mimi’s Babies so much!
I have known “Mimi” aka Debbie for 3 1/2 years. When I first met her, I immediately knew that she was a kindred spirit and incredibly easy to converse with. Debbie loves to sew (and she’s amazing at it!) and when she found out I was pregnant she said that she wanted to make a buggy buddy for me (well, for Ridley, of course!)
After I started blogging and became more active online, I found Etsy…and Debbie came to mind. During our next conversation, I told her that she should follow her dream of custom sewing by opening an Etsy shop and starting a blog to promote her products.
The next time I saw Debbie she informed me that she and her daughter-in-law (also the sweetest person) Charissa were starting a business called Mimi’s Babies. Their Etsy shop was under construction and Charissa was busy working on the blog. I was ecstatic – to say the very least!!
Ridley is enjoying his “Buggy Buddy” and I love that it keeps the nasty germs away-especially during this yucky time of year. You can read more wonderful things about the Buggy Buddy here.
I was so surprised (and blessed/happy) when Debbie delivered these gorgeously, fabulous dishcloths to me. Charissa did a wonderful job knitting them. I love using these dishcloths because they are such happy colors and very absorbent too. I really like the patterned weave as well. It gives the cloth a “scrubber” feel.
I am very pleased with the beautiful crocheted hat that I purchased from Mimi’s Babies for a Christmas gift. It’s an adorable chocolate brown with a pink flower! Here’s another example of the Mimi’s Babies ladies generosity: when Charissa found out that my sister and I adopted Angel Tree children, she offered to make and donate crocheted hats for our Angels. Isn’t that amazing?!

I really love the buggy buddy (I like the western looking one that's pictured!)! I don't like the thought of putting my child in a nasty shopping cart/restaurant high chair so this would make it better! Something I'll definitely have to have for baby!!
