Cute, Cheap 2010 Calendar
Can you believe that it’s almost 2010? I can’t. Maybe because I’ve spent all of 2009 learning the ropes of new mommy-hood.
I’ve always relished new beginnings. Growing up, I loved the start of school each Fall with new crayons, pencils and notebooks and a new opportunity to do well and be more organized.
So, I’m looking forward to the new year and beginning 2010 with better home organization and management. I purchased a 2010 day planner yesterday at Lifeway. I love it! I don’t know about you, but I am totally lost without my day planner! Also, I’m working on a home management binder which I will definitely share with you when it’s done.
While browsing through Target’s “dollar” section yesterday (which I’ve never done before…shame on me!), I found a fabulous desk calendar. Best part: it was only $1!!!!!!
I like being able to see everything at one time – an entire month, the entire year and a lot of room to write notes and appointments! Target has several different designs, I just happen to love the pink flowers! I’m planning on keeping this calendar on my kitchen counter with my day planner and home management binder.
In comparison to desk calendars from Office Depot that cost anywhere from $13 to $20, this super cute calendar is pretty frugal and fine!

Oooh, I love the dollar section at Target. I will have to be sure to look for this!
I adore Target and its dollar section!
I'd love an inside look into your home management binder. I love being organized but I am struggling keeping school, work and being a wife together. I'd love some insight on how you balance everything!
Thanks fr sharing! I love Target and I actually grabbed one of their $1 monthly planners a few weeks ago! I also feel very unorganized without my calendar!
Woo hoo!!! Doesn't that feel good when you get something you need for a steal!!! 🙂
That is a good find!! And yes – shame on you for not visiting the dollar spot before:)
I have that desk calendar too! I am always rummaging in the "dollar" section at Target 🙂
Like you, I look forward to the new year and a fresh start. I have also spent 2009 learning how to be a mom, while finishing college. I can't wait for '10 so I can put my mommy skills to better use!
That is an awesome calendar for only $1!!! I wonder if Target has any left!!??
Very cute! I will have to peak around at Target next time I'm in the bigger of the two towns I go into. 😉
What a great find! I tend to avoid the dollar section, because of the temptation, but I might have to make an exception for this! Would make a cute, practical addition to a gift basket, too.
I LOVE your calendar with HUGE squares! I found one too at the dollar section in Target! Can't wait to hear about your new home management system!
Does it have magnets? I'd love to stick that on my fridge!
thanks for the idea, just went out and bought the same calander from target too! i hope it works out for me as well as it will for you. 🙂 thanks for the wonderful idea.
I glued magnets on to the back of mine and hung it on the fridge–all ready to go!
