Festive Pepper Jelly Spread

by Myra on November 30, 2009

This appetizer is both festive in color and in taste. The flavor is a good “different” which mixes sweet, spicy and cheesy. I made this spread for an after-church get together last night. I remembered to take a photo when there was just a little bit left, but that might give you a little hint at how yummy it is!

Pepper Jelly Spread

2 c. chopped green onions
2 c. chopped pecans
2 c. shredded cheese
3/4 cup mayo
red or green pepper jelly

Mix onions, pecans, cheese and mayo. You might need to add more mayo to help the ingredients to stick together. Spread cheese mixture on a plate or platter. Chill. Spread pepper jelly on top just before serving. Enjoy with crackers or tortilla chips!

This looks fantastic! I am such a red pepper jelly fan.

But I'm not a mayo fan. Does it have a heavy mayo taste…or is the mayo just to bind it together?

I must try this!

That is certainly a curious combination! I'll trust you, though. :)
