Stunning Architectural Details {Wood Beams}
Happy Friday! I’m so excited to share a great piece of information with y’all today. Keep reading! One of my favorite things about interior design are architectural details. Board & batten, stone, moldings and wood beams can give a ho-hum space spectacular impact! Check out these lovely rooms accented with wood ceiling beams.

I adore the combination of painted beams and rustic glazed wood beams. It’s a beautiful blend.

My friend Shaunna’s dining room features a beautiful coffered ceiling with painted beams. Swoon.

I love the contrast between the beams and plank ceiling in this living room!

Even kitchens are pretty with painted wood beams!

How beautiful is this room? I would love living in this rustic, modern-ish space! 🙂

Of course, if painted beams aren’t your thing and you love a raw, rustic look, that is quite lovely too. I’m still kind of hooked on the first photo that combines the two styles.
Now, here’s the “insider secret”…
I recently learned of a great company called Arizona Faux Beams. Yes. FAUX Beams. I am amazed at the possibilities of faux beams.
Arizona Faux Beams is a leading provider of faux wooden beams and other decorative polyurethane architectural products like decorative rafter tails & corbels, mantels, faux stone panels, and more.
Faux wood beams are lightweight, easy to handle and install. They will not dry, split, or crack, and are termite resistant. They can be painted or stained and they look just like real wood! My friend Traci recently used Arizona Faux Beams in her master bathroom and they are beautiful!
I can hardly wait for a place to install AZ Faux Beams in a house we own…someday. 🙂
Be sure to check out Arizona Faux Beams. I know you will be impressed. You can also connect with AZ Faux Beams on Facebook.
Had you ever heard of faux beams before??
Happy weekend, y’all!!
🙂

I love wood beams and coffered ceilings, but we’ve never added them to a space–it always seemed to be such a daunting project! Using real wood would be so very heavy, and building “fake” beams seems to me that it would look good only if done by an excellent woodworker. These Arizona wood beams seem to be just the answer! I looked at their website–they not only offer wood beams, they also have a lot of other products, including gorgeous corbels! Thanks for introducing them to us, Myra!
You’ve done wonders with every rental space–just imagine what fun you’ll have when you own your own home. I pray that it’ll be a place of great blessing to you!

We had faux beams in our last home. We decided to take them down and found one covered a crack in the ceiling! The photos are an inspiration – ours never looked that good!
Beams make everything look so expensive yet rustic, I absolutely love the look!

I’ve never heard of faux beams before…something to think about!
There were faux beams in the living room of the home I grew up in. I always thought it was the greatest detail of the room, right after the fireplace and the room being sunken 2 steps.
Beautiful inspiration pictures! I love wood beams too!
Thanks for sharing this amazing post.
