Weight Loss Update

I’m about 16 pounds away from my goal, so I thought this might be a good time to post a little mid-way update.

I just want to say how grateful I am for the Dynamite 180 Diet that I’m on. Like I’ve said before, I’m not a diet person at all. 🙂 I’ve tried SO many different workout programs, running, healthful eating and nothing worked. Now, I know that I was eating too much. I’ve learned so much about portion control from being on this diet. It’s so good to finally be doing something that works!

When I started the diet, I had 44.6 lbs to lose to reach my pre-Ridley weight. In the first six weeks I’ve lost 28.4 pounds and 28.5 inches. Wow.

You know it’s significant when your Dad notices and says to your husband, “Have you noticed that there’s less of Myra walking around?” HA!

This week I’m going to be working on weight training to try to tighten up my flabby arms that don’t want to shrink.  I’ve lost 1 1/2 inches off each arm, but I need to work on that at the gym.

I’ve just started my seventh week on Dynamite 180. At this point, it’s easy peasy to eat according to the plan…very habitual. I don’t have any cravings and even fruit tastes almost too sweet.

I’m ready to get the remaining 16.2 pounds off, so I can get back to a more alkaline diet.  I think the only disadvantage of the Dynamite 180 diet is that the eating plan is quite acidic which makes me more prone to catch a cold. {The more alkaline your body ph is, the healthier you will be and the better you will feel!}

I have so much love, understanding and care for every woman who struggles with her weight.  I get it. Totally. I probably will struggle all my life, but I’m thankful to be learning now how I can control it.

No matter what size you are or what the scale says, YOU are beautiful.

  1. That is so wonderful!! You look great in all of the pictures, but I can really tell that you have lost weight. I still have quite a bit to lose after my fourth baby. This post was quite encouraging!! Keep up the good work!!

  2. You look wonderful!! I’m on the other end of the spectrum – I’m pregnant – but am shocked at the deeply rooted emotional reactions I’ve had to gaining weight. This is definitely a journey – thanks for sharing yours =)

  3. Congrats on the weight loss. I read the program in the link you posted and I KNOW there is no way I could do it. I need to get back on weight watchers. It worked for me before my son was born so I know it will work again. Keep up the great work u are doing.

  4. This is amazing! About 5lbs gone each week?! You go Mama. My newest little one is 6 months and I’ve lost 47lbs so far but still have about 20 to go. I will check out this diet you mentioned!

  5. Wow! You look amazing! YOu dont even need to lose those last 16lbs!!
My question is does the stuff have any type of side effects at all? Have you noticed anything? I am always so weary about any diet helpers and how they will effect me in the long run.

  6. Glad you’re able to lose weight.
Just one question though — I read thru the diet plan and wondering how anyone can live off of 650 calories per day??

    1. @Karen, Thanks Karen! 650 cals is actually plenty of food. I’m so full after my meals. I’m going to do a post soon showing what I eat. 🙂 My sister was super skeptical about the calories, but when she saw how full my plate was, she didn’t worry that I was starving any more. LOL!

  7. Congratulations on losing weight! I know you’ve heard it several times already but you truly are a beautiful woman. This post reminds me that I need to get my booty in gear and work on the losing all of my extra baby (toddler?) weight. I would like to see what your meals consist of in order to get some ideas. 🙂

  8. Way to go, Myra! I’m so proud of you. I know it is hard to lose weight. Right now, I’m working on gaining weight for this pregnancy and am learning I have to exercise self-control even (maybe especially) while gaining weight. If I pile on sweets and milkshakes now just because “I need to gain baby weight” I’m going to want to do that after baby too! Learned that with my little girl the hard way. 🙂 Proud of you – you are beautiful!

  9. I’ve looked into Dynamite 180 and I’m wondering about your energy level. Do you still exercise? Do you feel tired half way through the day?

    1. @Narah, My energy level is fabulous and I still do power walking and weight lifting. 🙂 I don’t feel tired unless I don’t get enough sleep at night.

    1. Girl, thank you for your support! Seriously, it means SO much! You can so do it. I’m here cheering you on! 😉 xoxo

  10. Hi Myra – congrats on your progress! I’m local to you (friends with Andrea Brown). Just wondering what Naturopathist you use. I’m looking for a new Dr and would like to check it out. Thanks much!

  11. Myra,
Thank you so much for informing us about Dynamite 180. I have been using it for a few weeks now. It’s amazing! Today was the first time I wasn’t worried about stepping on the scale at the doctor’s office. I almost can’t wait to go back for my follow-up in a couple of weeks. By then, I’ll have lost more weight! =) Keep up the good work Myra! You’re looking more and more fabulous!

    Blessings,
    Kristine ♥

    1. You totally just made my day!!!! Congrats on your awesome loss and keep up the great work! 🙂 xo

  12. i think you looked just as amazing before the weight loss as you do now. maybe the weight you are while eating healthily and getting a healthy dose of exercise is your natural weight. i wish more people focused on being healthy and really loving their body instead of just saying things like:

“I have so much love, understanding and care for every woman who struggles with her weight. I get it. Totally. I probably will struggle all my life, but I’m thankful to be learning now how I can control it.

No matter what size you are or what the scale says, YOU are beautiful.”

and then going on a diet where i can’t imagine someone can get enough of their daily vitamins and nutrients to keep their body functioning. maybe that has something to do with getting more colds while only eating 650 calories.

but back to my point. be healthy. like you said, you’re gorgeous regardless of your size. i just wish i felt like you meant it for yourself.

    1. Thank you Carlita for your sweet comment. I definitely was preaching truth to myself as much as anything in that post. 🙂 I hope you have a beautiful day!

  13. Hi Myra-

You look fab, thinking about starting this program. Did you have any side effects? Are you still using it, or have you had to use it again?

    1. Thanks Joye! I didn’t have any side effects. I’m not on it now as I’m pregnant, but after I’m done breastfeeding, if I need it, I’ll definitely hop back on it. 🙂

  14. What is the cost associated with the products? I looked at the website and couldn’t find how much it costs. I would love to try it!
