A Family Affair

On Christmas Eve’s Eve, two of my brothers and my in-laws came over to help with some work at the house. We had a bajillion nails to set from the board and batten and beadboard before we could caulk. Next time we do a project like this we will be borrowing or renting a nail gun. Lesson learned.

Setting nails.

Measuring for Trim.

Caulking.

My mother-in-law helped hold up the wall…I mean, trim and she helped me with sanding! And she also helped me a ton with entertaining Ridley.

I just have to say that it’s a huge blessing to have both our families close by.  Both sets of grandparents have helped with the house and Ridley.

We made a lot of progress…finally!  Can’t wait to show you more!

  1. Myra, I just saw this post! First thing is: I LOVE the habitat Store; I called it my “New Lowes” when we were doing our house. Second thing, just before we finished our Year-a half Long Remodel, we broke down and purchashed a nail gun AND compressor which now just sits in the storage unit barelt haven been used!! We have no use for it here in the apartment if you all would like to borrow it until such time as we move to MS or buy another house (could be a LONG time). Just give me a call!!
