Friday Fails – The Overwhelmed Edition
It’s the first Friday of November and time for Friday Fails!
Have you ever forgotten to plug the slow cooker in on your way out the door? Have you ever left your laundry in the washing machine for a couple days? Pee-yew. Am I the only mother who has found her child wearing shoes on the wrong feet? Thanks Dad!
I’d love for you to join the party! Read details here.
To be perfectly honest I can’t think of a huge “fail” that I’ve committed recently. Other than trying and failing to keep my head above the never-ending to-do list, I’m keeping it pretty well together. Not.
As of this moment, I feel like I’m drowning in way. too. much. to do. I’ve learned my lesson. I say “yes” far too often. FAIL.
I like LOVE to help with everything I can, but after Relevant and the changes God is doing in my heart, I’m craving quiet.
I’m thankful for this lesson. It’s not easy to learn, but maybe I’m getting there! 🙂
Do you know what I’m talking about? The “drowning” feeling? Saying “yes” to too much?

Do you have a “fail” to share? Link ’em up here! If you don’t have a blog, just leave a comment. Please follow the rules! I can’t wait to read your fails! Try to spread the love and comment on the other “fails” posts!
Thanks for hosting, Myra! I’ll be praying for you to get the rest you need.
Yes, I completely understand the drowning feeling-that’s exactly what my post is about this week too! I feel like I’m running behind. I’m trying to give up my perfectionism and focus on what really matters!

I am going to just leave a comment today. You talk about leaving your wash? Have you ever ran the wash machine with no clothes in it? 🙂 I did one time when the phone rang at the wrong moment. Wow that was a long time ago LOL! Love you all! Grandma Patty Muich
I can relate! I haven’t forgotten to plug in the slow cooker, but I’ve forgotten to turn it on. I’ve taken a casserole out to thaw, then forgotten to put it in the oven. And I’ve definitely felt overwhelmed in the way you describe!
This always reminds me of the “7 Habits” concept of sharpening the saw. After I find some quiet and do what refreshes me, I’m better with the tasks at hand.

Yesterday my oldest had a preschool fieldtrip. When we were almost there I realized I had forgotten to brush his hair, his teeth or wash his face! Big fail for sure!
Yes I can relate! Right now I’m trying to minimize the number of “have-to’s” in my life so that I can focus on the most important things: my relationship with Christ and my husband! Thanks for all the encouragement!!
I have forgotten to plug the crockpot in before. Now I check and check and triple check to make sure I didn’t forget to plug it in. 🙂
