  8. I would LOVE to win this for my friend who is a single mother and is having a tough time getting enough money together for Christmas this year!

  9. What a generous giveaway! My favorite idea for gift giving is baking or making up some dry mix cookie jars with recipes for friends and family. My fiance and I are on a very tight budget saving for our upcoming wedding so we aren’t able to give any gifts this year, but I do plan to bake and send some goodies to those who are close to us. I think it’s the thought that counts! 🙂

    Have a wonderful thanksgiving!

  10. This Target gift card would be great to donate to the March of Dimes who would then use it in a basket for their Signature Chef’s Auction which would then generate even more money than it’s worth to help fight prematurity.

  11. I follow on facebook. I have a friend who will be having a baby towards either the end of dec or beginning of jan (her due date is technically Jan 11). She lost her job right after she found out she was pregnant, and has had troubles and trials ever since. This is her second child. She needs the help so it would be WONDERFUL if we were to win this. 17. A gift giving tradition we started is to save up money through the year to give away.
On Christmas, we allocate how much each child can “spend” on a ministry site. (we usually choose Gospel for Asia) and let them use their money choosing how to bless the poor.
It has become a highlight of Christmas.

  18. I like to give Christmas socks from Target as stocking stuffers! Thanks for the chance!

  22. Give your time. There may be someone you know who is dealing with grief this Christmas. Spend a morning or have a lunch date with him/her. Just be there for them and listen.

  23. My ability to “Give” is magnified by saving money following blogs like yours! I am able to put away a portion of the items I get reduced or free for the holidays! This way I save lots of money and can share the wealth with my family and friends by giving more presents!

  24. Giving without money. I pick up free things with coupons and drop them off at local shelters. They love the travel size poducts that I can get with the coupons, like using the $1 off Tide coupon at Walmart to get the $0.97 travel detergent.

  29. If you can help people financialy that’s awesome, but I think one of the greatest gifts you can give someone is your time. Whether it’s with Big Brothers and Big Sisters, at church, or a shelter. It show’s others hope, that their are still people that truly care about them and what they are going through. It’s amazing, because in the end, not only are you an angel in someone’s life but you are really the blessed one! 🙂

  45. Last year, the Council on Aging of West Florida had listings for seniors for Christmas gifts, and one of them broke my heart. All the person wanted was to get their pet its annual vaccinations. When I called, someone had already offered to take care of that, but I learned that the COA has a “pet food fund” to help older people who can’t afford food for their pets, so I donated to that, and I plan to give again this year.

  49. If you’re on a budget this holiday season, try giving cookies as gifts! You can buy attractive cookie tins to put your cookies in and it feels like a thoughtful present even though you didn’t spend a lot of money on it. I did this couple years ago when I was unemployed and it was a huge hit!

  53. My grandparents have a house full of stuff and the last thing they need is another knick knack, so I always give them a gift certificate from the grocery store where they shop.

  54. I’m a Christian, but I don’t do presents. I make Christmas more about Jesus’ birthday, not gifts. So instead, every February, I do a yearly tithe of 10% after I figure out my previous year’s income (I’m self-employed). My husband and I will talk it over and figure out what Christian cause we want to contribute to and that is our “gift.”

  55. This would make my husband happy. He thinks all of our Christmas decorations need to be purchased at Target and we have to add to it every year. Thank you
