Friday Fails – A Motherload of Fails
This has been the craziest of weeks. Sometimes it seems like things are going pretty well – with very few fails and other weeks there are so many fails, it’s just ridiculous. This was one of those ridiculous weeks!
Wallet FAIL – On Monday, my dearest hubs came home from work all in a flurry because he couldn’t find his wallet. He searched high and low all around the house, made phone calls, went to the church twice and came back to search the house. After two hours of this nonsense, he finally gave up and said that he would just have to call and cancel the few cards he had in his wallet and then we would have to get them replaced.
Do you know how annoying this is??? This isn’t the first time it’s happened and I have to do the calling and replacing! But, I just smiled and said, “Okay.” About 20 minutes later my hubby walked into the bedroom with a sheepish look on his face. He found his wallet right where it should have been – in his backpack! We’re such dorks! Ha! Fail!
Cell phone FAIL – On Tuesday, my hubs decided that he wanted to return his brand new phone because he found a much better deal on the same phone. So we went to the mall and waited in line for about 20 minutes.
This was no ordinary 20 minutes – it was hilariously annoying. This little old lady was having issues with her phone – it was “jumpin lyke a jumpin bean, but it’s not now that I’m back here at the sto.” {Remember I live in the South!} She said that the “jumpin” got worse the longer she talked, but after 15 minutes of it not “jumpin” while she talked about SusieQ, Uncle Henry and Aunt Claudia, she was convinced by her daughter that nothing was wrong with the phone. Ha!
Ernie and I had to turn around at times because we were cracking up SO much! We finally got up to the counter and at that moment (not a moment before), my hubs realized that he left the phone charger plugged in the wall at home. {rolls eyes} We just wasted 20 minutes for NOTHING! Fail! At least we were entertained while we waited!
Park FAIL – Yesterday, we went to the park for a picnic lunch. Somehow I missed exactly which park we were going to. So I ended up at the park where I thought everyone was, but I recognized no vehicles!
I called my sister and she told me that they were at a park completely on the other side of town. I’m so insane! Fail!
Shoe FAIL – After we ate lunch, we spent some time taking pictures and walking around. I noticed that Ridley was walking funny, but I didn’t really pay attention. Kelly gasped and said, “Myra, you have his shoes on the wrong feet!”
That I did. Bah…what a dork! Fail!

I can’t tell you how many times we’ve left the house, turned around for something we forgot and searched all over only to find that we had it with us the whole time! So frustrating!

Don’t feel so bad about the shoes on the wrong feet. I have one who says they feel better that way!

I still have the picture of my son wearing shoes that were on the wrong feet, 😉

that’s awesome. I drive to the wrong place all the time, but it’s due to an overconfidence in my directional skills. I think I can just look at mapquest and get there, without directions in my hand. FAIL!

I have had one of those days when nothing seems to go right and was kinda “down-and-out” but I just laughed SO hard at your Friday Fails, especially the old lady, that had to have been the funniest thing EVER!! Oh and the shoe thing, I have an 18 month old daughter and can so imagine that one! Thanks so much for posting!!!
I can never keep up with my military id. I’m forever searching for it, only to realize it’s where it’s supposed to be!
And the shoes… Honestly, most of the time (in good weather) I just throw the shoes in the diaper bag and walk out the door. Shoes are too much trouble! 😉

Yes, it was a crazy week. Honey, I laughed much in reading your post. Life never is dull around our place. 🙂
This is hilarious! I’m going to have to start remembering my fails; though I normally try to forget them as quickly as possible!
I love fridays! always a good reminder that even though we make mistakes, we can laugh, and get back up! Thanks!

I put my kiddo’s shoes on the wrong feet. All. Of. The. Time. Which is expected since he fights me tooth and nail every time I need to put them on. I just roll my eyes when someone points it out, say “Again?” and switch them to the right feet. What else can you do?
