After Christmas Savings

On a Sunday morning, my husband pulled out some “pre-marriage” clothes that I thought were long gone.  They’re just not what you would call “in-style” – if you know what I mean.  I had to “de-old-man-ify” his wardrobe when we got married! Ha! Surely I’m not alone?

Anyway, after a few weeks of this “man clothes crisis”, we decided that it was time to look for some new clothes!  By the way, I thought “clothes crises” only happened to women, but I guess not!

Since I haven’t quite mastered thrift store shopping like Jen has, we hit the mall on the day after Christmas.  Belk was having a huge sale!  We got these blazers for about 70% off!!!

Regular price: $125.00 (wow!)

Sale price: $37.50!

We paired these blazers with khaki pants and my husband is super happy(and in-style!) with his new duds!

  1. Sorry for the old man clothes, babe. 🙂 When your mom helps you buy your clothes, as the last child in the house, you kinda end up a generation behind in style. 🙂

  2. Nice deals! Very up to date. I’ve been shopping thrift stores for years although the bulk of my clothing comes from clearance sales at stores. However, my husband finally decided to give thrift stores a try yesterday and was thrilled that he walked out with 5 new to him shirts for $19 and change. One was new with tags, two of them looked like they were new without tags and the other two were in excellent condition.

  3. You are definitely not alone! I pretty much had to totally make over my husbands wardwrobe when we got married. And now he gets compliments on his clothes alot so we’re both happy with the results! I need to get better at shopping for sale stuff though…I’m learning but still don’t have it down like I’d like to. Good for you finding such good deals!

  4. Uhm……I had to dewesterify the hubs when we got married. He tries to slip every now and then. But he really does look so much better when wearing “current” clothes. And Belk is AWESOME! My fave store because of the Red Dot.
