Tackling & Giving

Great day! It took an act of congress to get these pictures uploaded. I’m not sure if it’s Firefox, Blogger, PhotoBucket, my internet or my computer. Argh!

Um-kay, moving on…

This past week I had NO time whatsoever to work on the skeletons in my closet, but I did manage to get my pantry and bathroom closet cleaned out and organized.

Check out the before and after shots!

Bathroom Closet — Before and After

The reason that both of these areas had a higher priority “ranking” is because I needed to clean out a bunch of food items and toiletry items to give away. My sister and I have organized a food drive for a few needy families that we know of. Our church’s prison ministry is also in need of items for the prisoners. Both opportunities are perfect for the 30 Day Giving Challenge, too!

After I cleaned all this stuff out, we still have plenty!

This is why I use coupons like they are going out of style. So I can give. End of story.

  1. I love this post! I just wrote one about giving joyfully without breaking the budget, and mentioned cleaning out stockpiles to find extra items to give- believe me, my pantry looked much worse than yours 🙂 I think it is amazing that you've organized a food drive- keep up the great work!

  2. Oh, your closets look so good! We are in desperate need of a pantry clean out. My husband is home this week so I'm hoping TOGETHER we can get motivated to clean it up!

  6. Since Mom and I have been couponing for the last month or so, we have been able to save enough money on our groceries to buy extra and give the extra away. It's wonderful to be able to give.

  7. I love your blog! You seem to be so upbeat. I wish I had a blog like this when my sweet babes were younger.
