Kroger Comforts Diapers

Before Ridley was born, I stocked up on Huggies and Pampers diapers whenever they were on sale. I had 20+ packages of diapers. It was insane! Seriously, I didn’t have to buy diapers until he was 3-4 months old.

For baby shower gifts, we were given some off-brand diapers that were horrible. I mean it was really, really bad. They leaked (poop) every. single. time. Yuck! I ended up throwing away most of one package and I sold the others at our yard sale. Was that awful of me?!

Since I had such a bad experience with off brands, I pretty much decided that I was a Huggies kind of girl. But then Kroger had this awesome sale on their Comforts diapers. The price after the sale and coupon was $3.49 per package! I bought one package to try and I loved them! Ridley didn’t have any kind of allergic reaction and they didn’t leak! So, I went back and stocked up “big time.”

Since that time, whenever there isn’t a super sale on Huggies I just pick up a package of these wonderful diapers. The normal price is $6.99 but they are frequently on sale. These diapers rarely ever leak and if they do, it’s always pee and not poop. I can handle pee, but poop…Oh my! Ridley has never suffered from diaper rash either.

I’m not being paid to say any of that. I’m just sharing what has worked for our family. And I would encourage you (if you use disposables) to try out these “off brand” diapers that I l.o.v.e!

  1. I will definitely stock up on these before our baby gets here! I've really liked them when I've kept R for you.

    Love ya!

  2. Hmmm…interesting! We had several bad experiences with off brand as well, so I quit trying them! Just FYI though, since C is taking soooo long to potty train, we have tried a variety of pull-ups for him. The CVS ones are great! Better than Huggies or Pampers version!!

  3. Kroger… is that a a grocery store? department? I haven't heard of that around here before.

Wow, those diapers are real cheap! I"ve been a pampers girl since day one. I liked the swaddlers. Even those leaked the "newborn poops" in the beginning – but I don't think there was much saving those wretched poops 🙂

Thanks for sharing your great find!

  4. oh – one more thing. I have your blog link on my site and I link to here from there (the way one's profile will show up on the widget), but my profile never shows up on your BLogFrog… sometimes I just don't GET the BlogFrog – soo many glitches!

  5. We have never tried Kroger diapers. I will have to give them a try. My baby is known as Princess Poopy Pants in our house. She blows out every diaper regardless of the brand, so I will have to let you know how they hold up for her 🙂
    Blessings,
    Amy

  6. i've used their wipes for myself (i work out at lunch and don't want to return to work a sweaty mess) and you can't beat the price!

  7. Too bad we don't have a Kroger anymore! (Although my hubby works for their competition so he doesn't mind, LOL!) I've been using Pampers this time around cuz I've been too lazy to pull out my cloth dipes. They're not too bad at Sam's in the big, huge box, but still expensive!

  8. Well we don't have Kroger here, but I totally believe in store brand diapers. some are totally better than others but for the most part I have had success.
