Layered Glam Fall Mantel

/ / /

Happy Monday, my sweet friends! I’m ridiculously happy to show you my 2013 Fall mantel! It’s more simple than past mantel designs, but it is bursting with layers, textures, varying color tones and metallics. How I love metallics! I made the Peacock & Gold Fall Wreath this weekend. It’s so quick and easy, you won’t believe it! 😉

So lovely and be assured that I can’t stop looking at it.

I anchored the mantel with my antique stove board {a yard sale score!} as the backdrop. I’ve used it several times, but I love how versatile it is.

My very favorite thing on my Fall mantel is the set of three gold bells. I scored them at TJ Maxx. They weren’t on sale or necessarily cheap, but they are statement pieces that I couldn’t pass up. I LOVE that they look old. The velvety pumpkin is from HomeGoods.

Books make the best risers. I also really like the color and texture that they add.

More books, salvaged wood, mercury glass and faux acorns.

Beautimous!

The lantern is from Pottery Barn. It was on my Simple Layered Fall Display, but I’m always moving things around, so that looks a bit different now. Please tell me that y’all like to fluff and puff and move things around too!

The “Count Your Blessings” sign is from Signs By Andrea. I love using it year after year.

Never ever be afraid to mix various wood tones, mixed metallics and different colors. The blend of all these things creates a beautiful, multi-dimensional, unique design that reflects what you love.

  1. This is so inspiring! Just love the metallics…I’m going to start my fall decorating today after seeing this 🙂

  2. Love the horizontal element of the stove board. The circular form of the peacock wreath and the vertical elements all combine to make a mantel with depth and visual interest. Bravo! I may be trying to duplicate the stove board I really like that look. Very nice!

  4. I love how you used the temple bells! I have some too but haven’t used them in the fall. Need to think about that now. Your fireplace is so unique – I like it!

  5. I love getting back into routine after the craziness of the holidays and While any time is a good time to read the Bible, January 1st is an obvious choice to begin to read the Bible through in a year.
