Valentine Wreath {Pink & Gray}

by Myra Hope

Happy Monday, y’all! I hope y’all had  a great weekend! I’m excited to show you my Valentine Wreath! I had a lot of fun putting this wreath together. I can’t get enough gray right now, so I decided to add hot pink for V-day. In my male dominant home, hot pink isn’t a popular color, so I go all out at Valentine’s Day.

So pretty! I love how the wreath came together! It was so easy. Here’s how to make your own…

Supplies Needed:

  • Wreath Form
  • Fabric {about 1/2 yard}
  • Scissors
  • Embellishments {I used ruffled trim, felt hearts, ribbon, pompoms and Valentine’s Day brads}
  • Glue Gun with glue sticks

Cut fabric strips 2″ wide. I used 7-8 strips.

Fold each strip in half length-wise and press with an iron. Secure a strip on the back of the wreath and begin wrapping…covering the unfinished edges. This creates a faux-pleated look.

Wrap the entire wreath.

Sew pompoms together. Glue on the back of the wreath.

I am smitten with pompoms!

I snagged some ruffled trim at Hobby Lobby for 40% off and added about 2 yards to one side of the wreath and then I used the remaining trim for a rosette.

The felt hearts came in a package from the Valentine’s Day section. I added the gray felt on the back of one to give it some extra umph. I hot glued V-day brads to the center of each heart.

The rosette made from ribbon turned out super cute. Love it!

And I made another rolled fabric flower out of gray felt…with a hot pink leaf. :)

These hearts are adorable.

More eye candy…or heart candy. :)

I’m loving this wreath decorating our door for the season leading up to Valentine’s Day. It’s such a sweet time and I think the combination of pink and gray is just fabulous. Don’t you?

And the pompoms? Swoon.

Do you decorate for Valentine’s Day?

xoxo

Oh yes it looks great! I love the ruffle! As a sleeve plus as a flower. Plus your rolled flowers and purchased felt hearts it all looks fun! Don’t laugh but well I’m a shut- in they used to call people like me…so I luckily found a very thin wire coat hanger I bent into a heart. I cut strips of red pjs that I just never wore and wrapped around the hanger. Next came shorter strips that when double tied looked kinda roses….the pant legs had a touch of lace so that twirled became flowers. I wrote love on a coffee filter many times and cut a piece to cover the hanger. I had enough to create a ribbon and tie a bow too plus scrunch for more flowers. The flowers I hot glued, embellished with a few fake jewels and I must say its totally so unlike any found anywhere, my daughter and hubby like it! It’s on the pantry door. A bit more elegantly rustic spring for the front!! So yes, my mini gardens have new flowers and paths and a new fence and looks very festive for love day but just not my door!!! Love yours lots!!!

Very lovely! I adore that grey and white fabric you picked to wrap around your wreath. I’m hoping if we get settled in after moving I will do a little table setting and maybe a wreath for the dining room. :)
