DIY Jute Wrapped Eggs
Holla! I’m so excited to share my DIY Jute Wrapped Eggs with y’all today. I haven’t been crafting a ton recently, but the Winter Pinterest challenge got my wheels turning.
I was inspired by these jute eggs that I pinned to my DIY Crafts Pinterest board a couple of weeks ago. This craft is so simple and I adore the texture that the eggs add to my Spring decor.
Supplies Needed:
- Fake eggs – I used wooden eggs that I found at for $4 at Hobby Lobby.
- Jute twine – I buy mine at Dollar General…cheap!
- Hot glue and glue sticks
- Scissors
I also thought yarn would be fun to use to wrap around the eggs too, but I haven’t done it yet. Somebody try it! 🙂
Glue down the jute on the pointy end of one egg.
Glue and wrap. Glue and wrap.
Finish off the other end of the egg. This is so easy, y’all!
Repeat on however many eggs you want.
I adore the eggs in one of my pieces of amish butterprint pyrex.
Don’t you love the punch of texture for Spring!
Have you ever used jute for a project?
I’m joining Sherry, Katie, Cassie and Erin with the Winter Pinterest challenge!

These turned out really cute! I’ve been looking for something to fill up a big bowl I have in my family room. Some variation of this, maybe with some yarn, could be just the thing!
Thanks for sharing!

Awesome! I pinned a version of the same where you make a pear out of a light bulb and twine, but I really love this! Great job!

I used jute twine ago for decorations for my sister’s baby shower back in January. The texture was great (especially for the nautical theme) and everyone was really happy with how it turned out. I still have some left over so I may have to try this project next!

I am visiting via Centsational Girl. I adore your project. So clever!
Happy day, happy spring, happy happy everything!
I’m visiting from Centsational Girl. I love the jute wrapped eggs but what really brought me to your site was your Pyrex dishes. I have the same pattern (bowls, refrigerator dishes and butter dish) and they are my absolute favorite! 🙂 You have a fabulous blog and I’ll be back.
