  1. We practice a green lifestyle. We recycle, conserve water and electricity, use cloth bags when grocery shopping, etc. We try to do what we can to save the earth. 🙂

  2. We compost, cloth diaper and have reusable shopping bags. We don’t use CFL bulbs because of the mercury and they are made in China and shipped to the US.

  3. We use reusable grocery bags…and I’m excited about the air purifying night light for our young kids’ rooms! Thanks!

  4. we are green, I use reusable grocery bags, we recycle, we have almost all CFL bulbs, I am hoping to start composting. We conserve energy with thermostat adjustments and constant reminders to not leave things running. We also do our best to conserve water. I use reusable containers for packing lunches, and use natural or homemade beauty and cleaning products.

  5. I re-use grocery bags (I have collected some re-usable bags, but have had a hard time getting in the habit remembering to bring them to the store!), clean all my surfaces with vinegar spray or baking soda, and try to avoid using plastic zipper bags for food storage. If I do use them, I re-use them again at least once.

  7. We definitely have energy-saving bulbs all over our home. We also use reusable grocery bags – when I remember to put them back in the car. =)

  8. I practice being green by recycling everything I can. I just wish my city would recycle more plastics. I have to take most of them to my in-laws.

  9. Just learning…have started changing out lightbulbs and using more green cleaning products. I “eat” clean…Vegan. 🙂

  10. I use my own shopping bags at the store, something else I try to re purposed out grown clothes when ever possible.

  11. We use recyclable grocery bags. When I do get the plastic bags I reuse them for the the little garbage cans and for kids projects. We also use energy saving light bulbs. 🙂

  12. I meant we use reusable grocery bags..lol. I am subscribed to the RSS feed and “like” you on Facebook.

  13. We’ve been recycling paper, aluminum, plastic, and glass for years. I prefer to use glass storage containers at home rather than plastic for many reasons. Though we aren’t as “green” as some people, we are gradually trying to make the changes which truly make the most difference.

  14. We are always recycling anything we can! We save our plastic shopping bags to use as pooper scooper bags, empty spoiled food into them, tie dirty diapers, etc. We re-use our paper sacks to store pop cans, etc. I save any envelopes I do not use from bills, to use in future. We also use energy saving lightbulbs as our bulbs, and choose the most energy efficient appliances! Thanks for the giveaway offer!

  15. We use CFL energy saving lightbulbs for up to 3/4 of the lighting in my home. I use reusable shopping bags when I remember, and we participate in recycling. It saves us money for trash service and helps the environment.

  16. I use “greener” light bulbs. Trying out green paper towels and toilet paper. Using reusable bags for wm and winn dixie and if I forget them, I bring the plastic bags back to walmart for recycling. And I cannot pay to recycle in my own area. They don’t come to pick it up. I have to drive it to the bin about 20 minutes away. I would truly love winning this pack. My daughter currently has pneumonia and may be predisposed to respiratory infections. Right now we are in the hospital, and will be going home after the weekend (I hope). I pray she isn’t susceptible to infection, but I don’t want to take any chances. Thank you! Lindsay

  17. We try to be “green” by recycling, using reusable grocery bags when we shop, carpool if possible, and using cfl’s when we can.

  18. We recycle, use our own grocery bags, clean with natural cleaners like salt, baking soda, vinegar, etc. and anything else we can think of.

  19. The biggest thing we’ve been doing is making sure all the lights are off when we live a room, turn the air up in summer and heat down in fall/winter (we cut our bill in half the month of October b/c we never turned the air on at all!!). We reuse containers and plastic bags and have started a box for compost.

  20. In the summer, I often walk to the grocery store if I have just a few things to buy. It conserves gas, plus I can squeeze in exercise this way.

  21. we totally eliminated platic grocery bags, we are using totes and baskets

  23. I compost, use CFL lightbulbs, recycle as many things as I can, and dry most clothes on a clothes line . I’m trying to do my part to save the planet for the next generation.

  24. We recycle, use cloth grocery bags, use energy efficient lights and appliances, use water filter pitchers instead of buying bottled water and have a filter on our faucet.

  25. I do practice green habits. I use reusable shopping bags, we recycle and we use the energy saving light bulbs also.

  26. In this family we do everything we can to live green, including gardening every year. We recycle everthing from we can. For grocery shopping we do use disposable grocery bags. In our home we do use energy saving light bulbs everywhere we can.

  27. I like to reuse our grocery bags in our diaper pail and small trash cans. My daughter helps recycle, so she gets to keep the money from our aluminum cans.

  28. We compost our leftovers, paperplates, and anything else that the city will accept for composting. Between composting and recycling, we have cut our garbage down to about a third of what it used to be!

  29. We use the ‘green’ lightbulbs, reusable tote bags for groceries, utilize our city recycleable program, and I have a saying posted in our house: “Use it Up. Wear it Out. Make it Do. Or do without!”. This little poem keeps us mindful of what we use and waste!

  30. We try to remember the reuseable grocery bags, and in the summer we use cloth napkins. The girls pass down there clothes, and when that fails, I transform them into “new” clothes. Almost 1/3 of the cleaning stuff is “green”. I guess we are about 1/3 green ourselves about 1/3 of the time.
