Friday Fails – A “Shoe” Fail

by Myra on February 4, 2010

PhotobucketA couple of weeks ago, early on Saturday morning, we were getting ready to head out the door to Cracker Barrel for breakfast. My sister-in-law and her family were in town, so it was a perfect scenario – visit, eat, no cooking or clean up involved!

In my dazed “state” – I’m SO not a morning person – I put on my boots and finished getting ready. As I was walking toward the door, I noticed that my feet felt a little funny…like something wasn’t quite right. I looked down and this is what I saw…

Photobucket

Yes, can you believe that I almost walked out of the house with a brown square-toe boot on my left foot and a black rounded-toe boot on my right foot?  Wow.  It was definitely a FAIL abated!  I can’t imagine the embarrassment if I hadn’t felt that “funny” feeling.  Ha!

Have you ever walked out of the house with un-matched or mis-matched shoes?  Is it a mommy-brain thing?

I’m beginning to think that I’ve l.o.s.t. it!

Well, I’ve never left the house with mismatched shoes…yet! I do have an embarrassing shoe story though…last summer I wore my gardening flip flops (bright blue & yellow plastic covered in a nice layer of dirt…) to church one Wednesday! I was over halfway there by the time I realized what was on my feet and didn’t have time to turn around and change shoes! It was embarrassing but I didn’t get any comments…thankfully! I would have been mortified!!

Haha, so funny! I’ve worn a black and brown shoe to the grocery store before. But I didn’t get any comments and I only noticed when I got home! :)

Too funny! I have left the house in slippers before but always caught it before I drove away, luckily!

I have linked my post…let’s see if it decides to post just once, or the usual two times! *sigh*

Have fun at Blissdom this weekend!

Yes!! I went out wearing a hiking boot and a fatbaby cowgirl boot because I had both on to ask Chris which one looked better and I forgot I guess. it was a little lore than embarrassing…lol. At least you realized before you left the house. I have also left the house without a bra. If I am at home and not going anywhere the girls are free. Well, I just wanted to run to the store and totally forgot. Oh well.

Yes, I did that same thing with another type of shoe. PLUS…I wore a brown/blue outfit a few weeks ago and in the haste to leave and the darkness of the house, I put on my RED shoes. Needless to say, the kids at school got a great laugh out of my totally mismatched outfit. Ick. :)

@Sherry, Oh Sher! Blue and brown would be easy to mix up especially in the dark! RED shoes! Ha Ha!

My biggest FAIL is getting our four boys all bundled up and in the van to go get groceries – and as driving down the driveway we realized that the baby is in his seat in the livingroom. Luckily they are all big enough to get to the van on their own now, just gotta count heads.

@Cyndi, That’s so awesome! I mean it’s a great fail! I’m just glad you didn’t get to far before you remembered the baby!

I have done the same thing, and actually made it to school that way. How embarrassing!
