Bulk Cooking Recap

by Myra on February 2, 2010

I’m glad that I didn’t make a huge, ambitious list this time around. I’ve barely gotten done what I planned to. Sometimes, life just “gets in the way” of plans and other things take priority – which is a-okay.  This is a crazy time to try to do bulk cooking and I’m okay with not getting very much done.

  • 2 batches of Granola (in oats containers)
  • 4 bags mashed pinto beans
  • 2 bags browned ground beef
  • 6 pizza dough mixes

I had planned on making muffins and banana bread, however, I ran out of energy to make the muffins.  Kroger didn’t have any marked down ripe bananas, so the banana bread will wait until next time.   I had also planned to make pizza dough, but I was about to collapse from exhaustion on the kitchen floor at 10 p.m., so I just bagged the “mixes.”  I’m confident that having the dry ingredients mixed will expedite the dough making time when we want pizza!

Good for you for recognizing priorities! And can I just say how brilliant I think you are for storing your granola in the oats containers? I will definitely be putting that to use in our home! :)

I went home last night and made that granola. It turned out really good except I threw out the oat containers on accident. Oops.
