When I was little, my Mom always made edible play dough. My siblings and I loved making all kinds of shapes and figures. It was a perfect learning experience. Our favorite part was being able to eat our play dough creations!
Today, when I was looking through my recipe card file I found the recipe. I can hardly wait to make it for Ridley to play with – of course, when he’s a bit older. I know we will have some educational and yummy fun with it!
Edible Play Dough
- 1 cup peanut butter
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 1 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 1/4 cup powdered milk
Combine, play and eat! *Be sure your kiddos have well-washed hands before playing with the “edible” play dough. Ha!

It’s been a LONG time, but we used to make this! Every once in a while I think about digging up the recipe for my kids. Now I don’t have to.

Stopping by from We Are That Family. The Edible Playdough caught my eye because my kids (at least my younger 3) love playdough. One word of caution about this recipe- please don’t take it to “public” places (even church nurseries) because this is a nightmare for parents of kids with a peanut allergy. If we didn’t have the allergy to contend with, I’d be all over this one.
