Last Minute New Year’s Decor

by Myra on December 30, 2009

It’s almost 2010 y’all! Doesn’t it seem a little weird? Like we should all be flying around in space capsules? Maybe I’m just getting old!

Anyway, on to the good stuff. Prince Charming and I are hosting a New Year’s Eve Par-tay! (Almost) all of the the Christmas stuff is put away and…well, I just had to come up with something for New Year’s decor!

So, I pulled some of my Christmas ball ornaments back out, shopped my house, went to the party store, Hobby Lobby, Ross and Target.

And the result is…

My friend, April and I looked every where on Tuesday for party horns, so everyone can lose their hearing when the clock strikes 12…yeah. Today I finally found the horns at our local party store! Yay! You might have to yell so I can hear you on January 1st!

Pull out your cake stands, put balls and horns in vases, goblets or whatever else you have on hand!

This little arrangement is on top of my piano. I love the collection of clocks. I swiped the little clocks from my mom…she’s cool like that!

I found the (empty) picture frames for 0.25 each this past summer at a yard sale! I do realize that the balls on top of the candle holders *could* be larger and it really would look better, but I don’t think anyone else will notice, do you?

I just had to post this awesome picture! It is totally un-edited! I love how the candle holders and balls are in focus! I’m loving my new Canon Rebel camera that Santa….errrr…..Prince Charming and all my wonderful family got me for Christmas!

I hope you all have a wonderful New Year! Stay tuned for some exciting news coming up soon!

I have a Canon Rebel too! I love it! I go back and forth between it and my Canon point-and-shoot.

I must admit, I have been back to the point-and-shoot since we were traveling a lot last week and it was easier to tote around.

I am amazed at the difference in pictures between the 2 cameras. I have been able to get some very priceless expressions from my Amelia with my Rebel. I hope you enjoy yours as much as I enjoy mine!!!

Happy New Year!

I need to remember this next year when my house isn't in the throws of remodeling. It looks fabulous, but I'm guessing that it wouldn't be quite as nice covered in copious amounts of drywall dust! :-) Hope you have a wonderful party tonight and a happy New Year!
