I love to decorate, hence why I got my degree in Interior Design. When I went to college, I wanted to pursue a degree in an area that would enable me to make money and be a stay at home mom too. After college I worked for 3 years at a high-end furniture store both selling furniture and designing/decorating clients’ homes. I loved it to say the very least.
Since I’m at home full-time now, I’ve been able to spend more time on my own house. Since I’m not spending my clients’ money any more (ha!), I’ve decorated our home with stuff from yard sales, thrift stores, rummage sales and yes, even the side of the road! Oh, and Hobby Lobby is a wonderful favorite of mine too!
Here are a few “before and after” pictures…
I love my house. It’s just so cozy. I love looking around at different accessories, pictures, etc and remember where I got them or who they came from. It’s just a “fine” thing.
We are still planning on putting our house on the market in the coming weeks. Makes me kinda sad because I’ve put so much of “me” into this house. But any place that my family is together will always be home.

I came across your blog from Finer Things. I love the photos of your house. Just wanted to say I also was an Interior Designer before children. I designed and sold kitchens, reading your blog a bit reminded me of myself, expecially your nusrery post, I painted and entire room of stripes at 9 months pregnant for my daughter's nursery, what a workout! Adding you to my favorite reads. Bekki

Enjoyed the B/A tour… I never think to take 'before' photos when I jump into a project. Great room makeovers.

I love your big red leather ottoman
I also love your curtains. I always feel like my windows are naked if they aren't completely covered by the drapes/sheers. I guess I need to get out of that mindset!!
Have a blessed week!

Wow — you've got talent? Wanna come help me with my house? Cheap and cozy is what I'm aiming for
I'm sure you'll have no trouble selling your house — but I can understand the sentiment of not wanting to let it go!

I missed that ya'll are putting your house on the market, too! You've done a gorgeous job decorating, of course….I could so use your eye – home decorating is a challenge for me. Love the fireplace area.
