A Cray-zay Day…

This has been a totally insane day. My sister’s father-in-law had a heart attack this morning. We were so scared for his life. It was truly amazing to see and hear how people were praying. Mr. F. is an incredibly faithful, kind and wise man. Our families and our church are all very close.

I had an interior design appointment with a client this morning, so after that I went to the hospital and wasprivileged to be there when the doctor came out with the amazing news…that he had NO heart damage! We were amazed at the mercy of God.

Thankfully Mr. F. will be heading home from the hospital tomorrow. God is so good! T-his event has made all of us think about how short life is and that we have no idea what a day will bring. What a comfort it is that God knows and His plan is perfect.

I had a hilarious “Not Me Monday” post written in my head with no time to write it. I was going to tell you about how…

  • I did not fall down the garage steps on my way to church on Sunday morning
  • I was certainly not carrying Ridley in his car seat when I fell
  • My fall was not in slow motion
  • I was not limping to my car with thoughts about what a spectacle I would be walking to the piano at church
  • I did not forget to press “start” on the slow cooker on Sunday morning. What a dummy!
  • I did not wash poop out of at least three outfits a day this past week because Ridley’s diapers can’t seem to contain his digestive issues
  • On Thursday night at a special church service, Ridley and his little friend Savannah did not have a “noise contest” from both ends of the digestive tract. I definitely was not in tears from laughing so hard. Nope! Not me!
  • I did not have a bunch of other “not me’s” that I can’t remember now. I never forget anything! Not me!

I am hosting my sister’s baby shower on Thursday night, so I’m incredibly busy decorating, cleaning etc. I will definitely have tons of pictures from the evening to share with you all.

Thanks so much for your sweet comments. I am so behind in replying to all you wonderful people, but I will catch up…I promise!

  1. Sorry to hear that your day was so crazy. Hopefully, the rest of the week will just be fun!

  2. I feel for you. I ran into the wall on Thursday night and cut my eyelid and had a swollen eye. We are moving in 4 weeks from Florida to northern Kentucky and it just seems like I am so accident prone lately. I completely understand.

  3. Thank you so much for your support yesterday on the phone and at the hospital! It was such a blessing to have you there!

Your Not Me's totally cracked me up!! 🙂 I'm glad you (and ridley) weren't hurt when you fell. Hope your ankle feels much better soon.

    Love you!!

  4. Good thing candid camera is not around anymore! Whenever things happen to me I am waiting for someone to jump out! So glad you are not seriously hurt! Molly has those kind of contests all of the time with herself! Kids are funny and gross all at the same time!

  5. Prayers are lifted up for Mr. F & his family. We serve an awesome God don't we?!

LoL-I just love your 'not me' Mondays, just because there is no such thing as perfect people! 🙂

    *God Bless!
