Why Do I Blog?

This week’s blog hop’s topic (say that really fast 10 times! ha!) is “Why Should You Read My Blog.” I definitely have mixed feelings about this topic.

I never want to come across as demanding that I’m “somebody” (because I’m not) and that you have to read my blog. You don’t, because this is America and you can read whichever blog or blogs you so choose. With that said, I love my readers and I love the wonderful comments that you leave. You all encourage and inspire me on a daily basis!

Occasionally, I go back to my very first post and read the purpose for my blog:

“My heart’s desire is to grow more fully as a godly wife and mother,daughter, sister and friend. I want this blog to be the real me…no pretense. From better organization and scheduling, cleaning projects and cooking projects, menu planning and baking days, coupon deals and grocery shopping to child training, potty training, homeschooling, field trips etc, it will all be here…the great, the bad, the beautiful and the ugly. Yep, I’m in this for the long haul! Even if no one reads about my life, it will be enough for me to have an “out” because so much of each and every day I’m “in.” So, if you’d like, feel free to join me as I happily live my life!”

I love to blog about many topics normally involving first-time mommying, babies, recipes, saving money and decorating. I also love to do giveaways. Actually I have several fun things up my sleeve about that!

Even if I’m never a “somebody” in the blogging world, I’m okay with that. That’s not why I blog.

I readily admit that I’m a nobody without grace.

But…

Because of grace, I’m a daughter of the King!

And I’m a “somebody” in Christ.

That’s what really matters.
