Things I Love Thursday–Mixing Bowls

I just had to share my love for these wonderful bowls with you today. Prince Charming and I received these Williams-Sonoma melamine mixing bowls for a wedding gift. The bowls we have are a really cute apple green (set of 3) which apparently WS doesn’t sell any longer. It’s especially sad because my largest sized bowl, got bumped off the counter and shattered into a million pieces on the floor. **Sniff**

So, why do I love these bowls? Have you ever suffered from “slipping-and-sliding-bowl-all-over-the-counter” syndrome? Well, these bowls are the answer to that problem! They have a lovely rubber ring on the bottom to keep the bowl wonderfully secure. Imagine that! Why didn’t I think of that? Another neat feature is the handle and pourable lip. I love having graduated sizes for mixing up different recipes. These bowls are dishwasher safe too! Yay! The less dishes I have to do myself, the better!

I have used these bowls for mixing up brownies, cookies, pancake batter, dips, pizza dough and probably many other things that I can’t remember right now. It must be my post-pregnancy/breastfeeding lack of brain-mass kicking in right now!
This set of 4 bowls costs $38.00 from Williams-Sonoma. It is a little bit of an initial investment, but it is well worth it! Disclaimer: I’m not being paid anything to write all this!

Now, I think I’ll go mix up some brownies!

  1. I loved my set of melanine bowls, too! I got them from TJ Maxx. They accrued some scratches over the years, and I recently decided to throw them out…but I sure liked them!

  2. It is nice that they stack inside each other. Small house = small kitchen = small storage spaces.
