I’m Thankful for Today!

Today is a wonderful day! Ridley slept from 10:00 p.m. to 6:30 this morning! Sweet, sweet
sleep! Since Ernie was off today, I got up around 7:00 from feeding Ridley and I opened all the blinds and it was a glorious morning, so I opened all the windows. I think I’m becoming more of a morning person out of necessity…not because I want to, but it was so nice to hear the birds chirping and to feel and smell the clean fresh air.
I then made a yummy breakfast. It’s been a L-O-N-G time since I really made breakfast. Usually we just eat cereal or green smoothies. I made pancakes, turkey bacon and potatoes, onions and eggs. The last time I made potatoes, onions and eggs it was a major mushy flop! But I got my courage up again and this time it worked! I had a partial bag of frozen hashbrown potatoes that I used up. With ketchup on it, it was yummy!!

After we got ready for the day…and another feeding for Ridley, we went to Kohls. We had 40.00 in Kohls cash that expired today. Ernie got a couple shirts and I found some jewelry! Happiness!
Then we went to Target and got the In-Step bike trailer that is on sale. I’ve been looking for bike trailers to pull Ridley around in. I LOVE my bike and can’t wait to use it more now that I can take Ridley with me!Then we went to Lowes and purchased mulch, flowers, weed killer, ant killer, a garden hose, some pretty flowers and some herb seeds. Our neighbors are probably mad at us because they are trying to sell their house and our yard looks horrible! There are SO many weeds coming up through the sod! 🙁 I hope that this weed killer works! If the crazy, insane wind would stop we could work in the yard, but for now it’s just completely miserable to be outside.

Ridley slept the whole time we were out!

Ridley just turned over from his back to his tummy for the first time. Ernie has gone to workout. I’m blogging and we’re leaving Ridley with the grandparents and we’re going out for an early supper tonight with a Chili’s gift card that we earned!

Little man after he rolled to his tummy!

One proud momma! Ok, so the picture needed to be cropped…oh well!

I am SO thankful for today and for the family that God has blessed me with. I’ve treasured these special moments of togetherness today!

  1. I loved reading this post!! So excited that you got the bike trailer. I saw it in the sale paper and wondered if you'd like it! Have you used it yet?

Oh, and new jewelry?! I've come to love jewelry now (thanks to you)! 🙂 I need to get some more soon!

Ridley's outfit & hat are soo cute. I'm so proud of him rolling over. He probably surprised himself when he did it. He's such a cutie 🙂
