Merry Christmas 2013!!!!
I look forward to Thanksgiving and Christmas all year long because it’s precious time with extended family that we don’t get very much of the rest of the year. I treasure the memories of years past and look ahead in expectation of more memories to be made. Christmas Eve has long been the day for the family get together and gift giving at Memaw’s house. My memories of this tradition are the best. Trust me.
This year was different and more difficult in certain ways because we are missing our matriarch – our Memaw – for the Christmas Eve ever. It was hard, but our gathering with extended family was really special.
We laughed. We cried. We ate. We sang. We hugged. We opened gifts. We missed the house coats, dusting powder and bedroom shoes that were often given at this time. But it was good. Just a really sweet time.
Before dinner, we managed to snap a few pictures {okay, way more than a few!} that I wanted to share with y’all. 🙂
My sweet little family.
The love of my life and me.
My crazy, insanely wonderful family. It’s amazing how this group has grown over the past few years. Just yesterday, my middle brother {beside my husband} got engaged to Hannah {in the blue plaid shirt} one of my dear friends. We are thrilled for them!
From our family to yours….
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!
xoxo

Merry Christmas…love how your baby is looking up at you (it appears). That is one great family picture, thanks for sharing the fun!
Oh Myra! How exciting for your brother to be engaged. I am almost positive I met her sweet family at the nail shop in Moulton getting a manicure, for her youngest sister. It was such a precious day! On another note, I LOVE THE FAMILY PHOTOS. Your mom and dad are just precious! Merry Christmas to you and yours! Andrea
Myra,
Thanks for sharing your Christmas family pictures – what a great looking family! I love that so many of them wore plaid to tie in with your “Woodsy Glam” theme, too! :O) Blessings to all of you for a wonderful Christmas and a blessed New Year!
