Getting My Bliss On!
I’m headed to Nashville, Tennessee this morning, sans family {eek!}, to the Blissdom Conference. Out of the four blogging conferences I’ve been to, I’ve never gone by myself! I’m sad to leave my boys, but I’m ridiculously excited to get to hang out with some of my best blogging friends and to get to meet new fabulous people who “get” this crazy, good thing called blogging.
Some people look at me like I have two heads when I tell them “what I do” {blogging} and how much fun it is and how much I adore my readers. They look at me even more strangely when I tell them that I attend blogging conferences. Ha! Few things are more amazing than hugging the necks of those people who have virtually hugged you and high-fived you through a computer screen.
Some of my greatest friendships have developed through blogging and I feel so very blessed.
I’ve never been away from my family for this long, so I might need an extra hug or two. I’m rooming with my dear friends, Traci and Cyndi, {sisters} who I’ve hung out with at Blissdom before as well as two Relevant conferences. I’m so thankful for their friendship! Tonya from Love of Family and Home is also rooming with us. I’m excited to meet Tonya for the first time! She is so creative!
This year at Blissdom, I’m a Community Leader and will be welcoming the newbies and helping them feel right at home. I’ll also be leading a Blogging 101 table during these three sessions…
- Friday, 11:00 Jeannette Kaplun- Living (and Embracing) the Best of the Life You Have Created for Yourself
- Friday, 4:30 Claire Diaz Ortiz- The Present Principle: How to be Present in a Demanding World.
- Satruday, 2:30 Michael Hyatt- Creating Your Personal Life Plan
I’m really looking forward to these sessions!
There is also going to be a Handmade Marketplace on Thursday that is open to the public, so if you’re in the Nashville area, you should check it out! Besides connecting with bloggers, there will also be sponsor suites and an expo hall where bloggers can connect with brands. Woot!
I will be updating Twitter and Facebook throughout Blissdom. 🙂

i really wish I would have known about this in advance. I’m in nashville- well franklin actually- would LOVE to go but am super busy and opryland is a bit of a trek. enjoy yourself!
