10 Craft Room Organizational Tips
Since we’re in the throes of unpacking right now, I’ve been thinking about how to organize my craft supplies. I’m currently using clear plastic boxes, a set of plastic drawers, my toolbox and my sewing box to house all my craft supplies. Let’s just say that it’s super easy for everything to get tumbled up and disorganized in a matter of minutes.
I did a bit of research on Pinterest, of course, and found 10 fabulous organizing ideas for craft supplies. Enjoy! 🙂
I love the organizational jars!!
The crate idea is one that I’m definitely storing away for future reference. 🙂
Wrapping paper storage – brilliant!
Embroidery floss storage. This is fab for avoiding knots.
Adorable thread storage. I’m going to do this!
Did your heart just skip a beat? Yeah, mine too. Love this ribbon and trim storage solution!
I adore the little buckets! And the turntable! It’s a fabulous take on an organizational Lazy Susan.
Seriously? How smart! Use a sugar dispenser to keep twine organized!
This idea is pegboard at it’s finest…and the Ball jars aren’t too bad either. 🙂
More ribbon organizing! I love how easy {and cheap} this is!

I love the inspiration photos! I’m currently working on a (if I do say so myself) fantastic and very original way to use pegboard…I can’t wait until it’s done so I can share! 😉 I hope you’ll like it!
Can’t wait to see the choices you make in your craft storage/organization! 🙂

@Kristi @ Creative Kristi, Oh, I know I’ll love whatever you do!! Can’t wait to see the finished product! 🙂
My husband thanks you! I’m overtaking his recording space…teeheee.
@Jessica from The Paper Plume, HAHA! That’s awesome! 🙂
These are all fabulous ideas! I can’t wait to see what you end up doing in yours! Moving stinks, but my fave part is the re-organizing and purging you get to do at the new place!
@Shona, That’s my favorite part too. We purged a ton of stuff before we moved {when we had the yard sale}. I’m convinced that helped us unpack and settle more quickly. I’m loving getting organized! 🙂
Fun! The first picture reminds me of my childhood. We had backless basement steps with a few jars affixed this way to the underside of some holding such small items as nails.
I’m so gonna give some of these a try. Great post!!
If I had a craft room, I would definitely want it to look like this! 🙂
These are great ideas for organizing. Hmm, dreaming of my next space.

So glad you are coming to Haven!! woohoo!
@beneathmyheart, HA! Traci…seriously, I wonder the same thing. WHO comes up with this stuff? 🙂 It’s a good thing I have Pinterest because otherwise I might just be a creative dud. LOL! I can’t wait to see you at Haven too…and at Relevant which is excitingly close! Shall we squeal and hug there?! Okay, I’m going to stop now before I embarrass myself further. 😀
I love the ribbon organization! Just today I bought one of those baskets and made the same kind of ribbon holder. It’s nothing fancy, but it gets the job done. My favorite is the peg board idea. I love to have stuff hanging in front of me within reach.
Yay for ribbon organization! 🙂 And yes, peg board rocks! I hope you have a great day, Venassa!
I’ve been really trying to find a way to store wrapping paper and I’m loving the idea you posted. Even my husband is intrigued! Thanks for the fabulous find!

I used jars to hold the twins’ pencils, markers, scissors, etc. on their little craft table, along with a crate to hold their blank paper, construction paper. I store our wrapping paper in a trunk (this way I know it won’t get squished or torn). And all extras get put into clear plastic boxes which are labeled. This has been a wonderful thing for us. Just wish I had more room to do this. 😉
Those are some great ideas!
Thanks for sharing these pins. I am going to repin some of these to my Organization board.
I am visiting from WFMW. It is nice to “meet” you. Your blog design is lovely. Enjoy the rest of your week!
Blessings!

I am SO TOTALLY buying one of those multi-pants-hangers for ribbon! Genius!
Carolina {Always Expect Moore}´s last blog post ..Simple Crackle Birdhouse
My heart skipped a beat several times..what great tips. I was fortunate enough to have inherited the exact set up for organizing wrapping paper when we moved into our home 7 years ago. It is a great way to keep paper from wrinkles and mashed up ends and out of the way.
I love Pinterest. A friend gave me an invitation a few weeks ago and I was addicted in no time. Now I can stop tearing out magazine pages and putting them in sheet protectors in my idea binders 🙂
Thanks for the great tips!
Erin´s last blog post ..How Low is Too Low?
Too funny! When I saw the pant hanger used for ribbon, I literally gasped and stopped mid-bite on my sandwich (during my lunch hour in my office). Then when I saw your comment about the heart skipping a bit, I laughed outloud!! Only fellow crafters understand, huh? Thank you for all the great ideas – I am definitely doing the wrapping paper storage idea (why didn’t I think of that?) and the pant/ribbon/WOW holder!!
Good website great job.
This is a simple/GREAT post!!!
I don’t have a craft room but I love crafting and I seriously never know how to storage all my stuff! Just saw great ideas, thank you so much !!!

Wow, these are great – and beautiful – ideas. Makes me want to run to my hobby room and do some fine-tuning. Or go out thrift – shopping or antiquing to find some of those gorgeous blue jars. Sigh.
