Bathroom Remodel {Sneak Peek}

/

I’m just beside myself with excitement to get this bathroom remodel finished! We’re making slow progress, but everything is finally coming together. I might, just possibly, be able to post the big reveal on Monday!  {fingers crossed}

How many days does it take to install a pedestal sink?? For us it takes not only days, but weeks. Life gets in the way sometimes…okay, well a lot of the time. Ha!

Today, I found a-may-zing window covering fabric for the awkward half-way in the shower window. I couldn’t wait to show it to you, so I decided it would be a good time to give you a quick update!

Seriously, this fabric is exactly what I’ve been looking for for months. The aqua, yellow, green and ivory background = perfection!

I found the fabric at my local fabric store called Willow Tree.  The selvage says…

Isn’t the texture fabulous??

Several people mentioned that I should get rid of the yellow accent tile, but I love it and wanted to save it. Now I’m so glad that I did!!

I love when a project starts coming together and pieces that I’ve collected just work together in the most beautiful way.

This fabulous architectural piece from Southern Accents has wood in it from the 1800s.  It is one of my favorite things and the colors are perfect for the bathroom.

Light Fixture Peek

Last, but not least, here’s a peek at my shower curtain.  I made it and it has a beautiful burlap ruffle on it.  I can NOT wait to show you, but I’m going to make myself. 🙂

Hopefully we’ll be revealing the entire room makeover/remodel on Monday!

  1. Keep the yellow! I had my kitchen in the same 1940’s original yellow tile. It was EVERYWHERE. Around the doors, the windows, backsplash. I grew to love it! I accented with lime, black and sliver.

    Now renovating to sell, we brought in granite counters and it just looked too old, so I did replace it all. However, just wanted you to know, that I did like the yellow. It’s adds charectar and warmth 🙂

  2. This bathroom is coming together beautifully! Loving the choices you’ve made and anxious to see the reveal!

  3. I can’t wait to see the final outcome! Honestly, I don’t think it has taken you that long at all. For the amount of things you have had to do to this bathroom, I think you are moving right along!

  4. These elements are all amazing!!! That fabric is to die for! And with a burplap ruffle…..I cannot wait to see it all done!!!! 🙂

  5. What great colors and textures. Love the architectural piece. Can’t wait to see how it all comes together in a room! Thanks for taking the time today to read about my chair project on Emily A Clark. I appreciate your comment!

  6. I’m seriously so in love with the fabric! And I’m glad you kept the yellow. It adds a sweet detail that will echo back to the era when the house was built yet will work so well in your updated space. Love it and can hardly wait to see it all come together (that’s always the best part, isn’t it?). 🙂

  7. Well, I guess you don’t need me to paint after all. 🙁 No, I’m glad you got to do it yourself. Its more rewarding when you do it yourself. But any time you need me to help, I’m here, just a phone call away.
    Looks Fab!! Really and Truly!! Can’t wait to come over and see the real deal! 😀

  8. I love the yellow tile! I wish my bathroom still had the original fifties tile in it – it adds so much character!

  9. Will you be my personal shopper?
    I love your combos. That arch. piece is really wonderful!
    and I love the fabric. please come find me when you show the
    bathroom!

  10. Myra just love the shower curtain. Just inspired me. Have been going nuts with trying to figure out how to make one to fit my son’s shower. The guy that made the tile shower did not do a great job let’s just leave it at that so I have had to make alot of adjustments. And since I also am in love with Burlap I think that will go great in the bath since it is all neutral colors. You are so inspiring. Thanks you keep me motivated.
