When We Lived Here Before…
This post requires a lot of bravery on my part. My taste has changed more than I can even express. Please don’t judge me based on these photos from four years ago. I was totally into bright colors. Ahem.
Living Room
Now do you see why people said it looked like a mexican restaurant? Snort.
Again
Don’t you just love that green vinyl sofa? My parents used it for years, then we had it and now it’s in my sister’s bonus room.
My gawgeous purple kitchen with lime green toile valances.
Umkay, moving on.
And this would be the poop brown hall bathroom with the fabric that I never had time to make into a curtain. Classy, huh?
The rest of the house never really got decorated when we lived there before.
Maybe I’m a little glad about that.
{giggle}
Has your decorating style evolved over the years?
Love the new blog. Can’t wait to follow your new adventure!
I totally understand about the change of tastes in colors. 15 years ago when I was picking my “colors” for wedding registration it was all navys, burgundys, and hunter greens. My how I’ve changed. Looks like maybe you had a bit of ecclectic taste then, but it’s still fun to look back even if it’s to say “oh my, what was I thinking?”
You are too funny! This made me think back to my freshman ID project. YIKES!!! Of course, 10 years from now, I’ll probably say the same thing about how I have my house arranged now. But that’s the nature of fashion and design. Taste change. As long as it made you happy at the time. 🙂
Exactly Bonnie! 🙂 It did make me happy then. 🙂 Do you remember working for those clients and making their window coverings. Did you take pictures of them? I didn’t, but from what I remember I wish I could forget. LOL!
Oh girl let me tell you I am still in the bright colors phase! We are renting a small house on my parents’ property and every room is a bold different colors! I love it…sometimes I question myself….I’m sure I will change my tastes eventually. For now.. I have to get it out of my system!! 🙂
You go girl!! 🙂 I think we all go through phases/seasons and our decorating evolves! I still love the bright colors….just more in accessories than the wall….so I’m still getting it out of my system! Ha!
