30 Day Giving Challenge Recap

30-Day Giving Challenge

Wow! What a month! When I started the 30 Day Giving Challenge on November 1st I had no clue what the month would bring.

But I can tell you this . . . it brought blessings, trials, joy, sickness and rewards that only God can give.

I’m not going to lie. This has been a hard month. To be perfectly honest, it’s been really, really hard.

My little family and I sought out large and small ways to give and bless others…

  • traveled to Missouri to encourage a small, struggling church
  • bought supper for the people behind us in the drive-thru line at ChickfilA
  • organized a Virtual Baby Shower for our local pregnancy crisis center
  • gave our time and energy to serve our local church
  • cleaned Memaw’s house for Thanksgiving
  • dropped change in to the Salvation Army buckets
  • donated to checkout charities
  • gave toward our church missionary fund
  • bought Starbucks coffee for a Vietnam Vet on Veteran’s Day
  • etc

What was so hard about this month is that I was sick for 2 of the 4 weeks of November.  Our family got an awful plague {stomach virus} and I spent an entire week cleaning up puke {eww}. That’s giving though, right?  I gave grace, gatorade, gingerale and crackers without complaining to my husband and son.  That’s giving.

I spent another week this month with bronchitis which I passed on to Ridley.  {no fun}

Much of my giving was to my own family which I consider a great success.  I’m so thankful and so blessed to have been a part of this challenge and on the 30 Day Giving Challenge team…what fabulous women!  This experience has stretched me and encouraged my heart to keep giving…even in the smallest of ways.

In case you didn’t notice there were a TON of giveaways going on here for the 30 Day Giving Challenge.  I spent a lot of time behind my computer screen running giveaways, writing posts, drawing winners, submitting information, returning emails and Skyping with the team.  It was a crazy, busy, good month.

It was a good month because God is good.  He is full of mercy and grace. I’m thankful to be a recipient of that mercy and grace and to be able to pass it on to others.

Thank you so much to all who participated in this amazing, life-changing challenge! Thank you to our wonderful sponsors who made it all possible!

Even though it’s December 1st, keep looking for ways to bless others!
