We just got home from a weekend away in Indiana where we visited my husband’s grandparents and various other family members. We had a really nice time. A highlight for me was visiting with Ridley’s great-great-great Aunt Wilma, but I’ll tell you about that later this week.
When we arrived on Friday afternoon, I saw signs for a neighborhood yard sale on Saturday. Of course, I couldn’t pass up such an opportunity, so we hit the yard sales in search of treasures.
Fabulous vintage “coke” bottle boxes
Yes, we call everything “coke” in the South. 🙂
This wreath called my name for only 0.25. I have no idea what I’ll do with it (after I cut off the center doo-hicky), but my mind has been spinning with ideas!
I satisfied my book-aholic addiction with a stack of wonderful children’s books!
This shelf begged to come home with me. It reminds me of my childhood. I’m not sure what I’m going to do with it, but I’m pondering taking it totally apart.
Am I insane?
Don’t answer if you were going to say yes, umkay?
Last, but not least.
My most prized treasure this weekend was finding this vintage set of Pyrex primary mixing bowls from the 50s for only 15.00!!!
The gentleman I bought them from had another set that he had priced 15.00 PER bowl. I asked what the difference was and he said that the set for 15.00 had been washed in the dishwasher so the finish was scarred up and dull.
Did I care? Nope. Not at all!
I’m literally in love.
