Where I Grew Up…
I’m thankful that my childhood home is only about five minutes away. My parents, Memaw and my Aunt and Uncle still live there. When I drive down the hill into the valley and turn into the driveway, I relax just a little, I roll down my windows, smell “the country” {ahem, sometimes man-ur-re’} and I remember what it was like to be a kid.
Backyard Playground.
Blurry picture. Vibrant color.
This is Myrtle, one of the goats my mom milks every day.
Forsythia.
Papaw and Ridley
Ridley pretty much adores the ground that his Papaw walks on because Papaw always takes him to see all the animals.
Happy Wednesday, y’all!

@Karen, Hey Karen! Bring your camera to Relevant and I’ll give you a few tips. I’m not a pro, but I used a Canon Powershot (point and shoot) forever and now I have a Canon Rebel. My opinion is that you can take amazing pictures with the Powershot…don’t think that you have to spend a lot of $$$ to get fabulous photos.
It’s all in the settings, lighting and angles. 🙂
@Myra, I agree! 🙂

@Jenilee, I linked up! 🙂 Thanks for letting me know!
What a wonderful world to grow up in. I love forsythia too. We had some in our yard when I was a kid and it reminds me of home.

I love that Ridley and Papaw’s shirts match in the last picture! How cute! I too relax a little when I get home. We are living 5 hours (across the whole state) from where we grew up. Jason grew up on one side of the river (WI side) and I grew up on the other side (MN side) and when we enter the river valley I just feel so peaceful and calm. We are home. It is a great feeling! How great that you are so close and can visit often!

What beautiful pictures (and I think Ridley looks like Papaw!). I grew up in the country and am currently living again in the home I grew up in. There is something so lovely about the country (although visits from the “honey wagon” do make things…odorous…at times) and even when I one day end up living in an urban setting once more I’ll always search out “the green spots” as a reminder of home.
