Finding Heart Connections
Last night, I participated in a super fun and informative Twitter party hosted by Sarah Mae and Tommy Nelson. The party was created to help bloggers obtain sponsorships for the Relevant conference.
When I first heard about Relevant, I was hooked. Seriously. It is limited to 200 people and will be a wonderful place for not only networking, but heart connections. After a recent blogging conference, I concluded that there is more to (my) life than having the most popular blog and making money blogging. More than anything, I want heart connections. I need heart connections. I’m confident that Relevant ’10 is the place where that will happen.
Highlights from the Get A Sponsor party:
- Be confident in who you are
- Make the first move and contact a potential sponsor
- The worst that they can say is “no.”
- Come up with creative ways to promote – home parties, laptop skins etc
Now I need to come up with a media kit and a list of potential sponsors!
Be sure to check out the party transcript for loads of fabulous information!
I wanted to get in on this party, but we’ve had a household of sickness:( Thanks for posting the link! And totally agree – a heart connection is priceless:)
I totally agree — one of the things that Blissdom cinched with me was that I’m not blogging for popularity or money. Sure, a little bit of popularity or money doesn’t hurt (LOL), but what I want most is to build lasting relationships.
