Are You IN?

The last couple of days I’ve been thinking about my weight-loss goals for December and I have decided to challenge myself to exercise or intentionally move every single day.

After I tweeted about my seemingly crazy decision, several friends said that they would love to participate too. So, I created a Facebook event for the “Let’s Get Moving Challenge.”

This challenge is not a no-sugar challenge, because even the best of us will find it hard to resist the sweet delicacies of this season! I’m intending to enjoy sweets in moderation. I’m confident that if I exercise (walk, run, jog, swim, Curves or bicycle etc) every day during December that I will be “better off” on January 1, 2010 when I make all my New Year’s Resolutions!

  1. I am so in! I keep talking myself out of exercise because I "don't have time or energy." I have come to the realization that the reason I don't have energy when I DO have the time is because I am not at my best physically. I am all for working on it and jumping in!

  2. I've been exercising pretty regularly for a while now. I only miss if injured (like right now – shin splints) or if the kiddos are too sick to take to the gym. Although I do plan to go in a swim this week, then hopefully back to aerobics next week.

    I believe that ANY movement is better than none at all. So if all you can do is walk/run up and down your stairs a few times in a day, that is ten times better than sitting on your caboose.
